Music of course. Singing, writing, playing guitar... making music in general. And I love to rap as well... some of you know. Some of you are unlucky enough to have heard me rap. But luckily I have a band. And in that band with my four friends that help me make music, we create the music that means the most to me in my life. Yeah, there are a lot of bands out there that I think are amazing. Maybe I even think they are way better then us. But the music I make in ESITU is by far my favorite music because it means as much to me as (I hope) the music that other bands make means to them.
I also enjoy astronomy, philosophy, limited amounts of photography with my limited skills... I suppose there's lots of other stuff too. Too much stuff in life. Can't list it all, because life isn't a list.
I'd like to meet:
You and you, and you, and you and you and you. Also you and you and you. Especially if you are a supporter of live and unsigned musicians. Super especially if those live and unsigned musicians are in a band called ESITU.
Music:
Lots of bands. Mostly local stuff. My band is called ESITU. The website is www.esitu.com. You may just like it. Hey, are you in Seattle? Why don't you come to a show. I want to meet you! Are you not in Seattle? E-mail me and tell me where we need to play! It would help if you'd send me $10 for a CD to help pay for the gas to get to you. But if you don't have $10 for a CD, we also have a $3 three song EP available as well. Of course, if you are a big spender, we've got a brand new DVD/CD 2-disc set for $20 which is killer. It's all LIVE! Check out the preview to the upper right. You see it? It's one of my favorite songs that we play. It's all about... well... maybe I wanna keep that info personal. You can figure it out though... if you think long and hard. Anyhow, we will come to any city in the country if you and enough of your friends each send us $10 for gas. Of course, we will ship you a CD for your $10. This band is only 2/5 Jewish. ;)
Some of my favorite bands in the Seattle area (we'll call it a top 10) that you should check out are (and I'm putting these in alphebetical order so as to not choose absolute favorites):
Basic Survival Mode, Counterfist, Enkrya, Experimental Hijacking, In Lunar Blue, Low Thin Square, Oriya, Point One, Pseudo, and Rishloo.
Some of my favorite bands that you probably don't know because they are outside of the Seattle area (we'll call it another top 10) are (and again, in alphebetical order):
Alternate Sound of Life, Fair to Midland, Floater, Heroes For Ghosts, Keddah (RIP), Misnomer, o.h.m. (RIP), Opus Dai, Revolve (RIP), and The Tea Party.
Please enjoy the short ESITU video below! Thanks to Gwen (The Denmother) for putting this together for us. The music you hear was recorded live at Studio Seven on May 14th, 2005 and has been released as a live DVD/CD 2-disc set! This is your chance to preview a little more of the audio from that release. The video is not from the DVD.
Movies:
What the bleep do we know? Visit www.whatthebleep.com. Stargate (but you have got to watch Stargate SG-1 season by season after this movie to get the full impact), The Usual Suspects and pretty much any movie that makes you go, "Are you fucking kidding me?" at the end. The Butterfly Effect, Vanilla Sky, Saw... those were some good movies too. Braveheart! I mean seriously... there are so many good movies out there. I'll tell you what's not a good movie though. Going Overboard with Adam Sandler. That movie fucking sucks. And somehow I was convinced to watch it a second time. That is four hours of my life I will NEVER get back.
Television:
Star shows... i.e. Trek, Gate (See Stargate in movies above), Wars... whatever. Wait, wars is under movies. Oh well. How about BattleSTAR Galactica? You get the point. Also, some dope ass shows are of course The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, Transformers (best cartoon ever when I was a kid), Friends (sorry, it's funny), and I dig watching the Mariners play. Even when they're loosing.
Books:
Comics... and philosophy, astronomy, and Jurassic Park. Seriously, I don't read that much. I'm so dyslexic so it makes me hate reading. Plus, why read when a perfectly good movie based after to the book is right around the corner? Save yourself a week, and watch the book in 2 hours. Except for Lord of the Rings. But I dare anybody to read those three books in fucking 12 hours! NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!! And to all you nay sayers who are coming at me with, "But the books are better then the movies." Yeah, well maybe so. But are they weeks out of my life better? And even if they are... as long as I don't read the books, I'll never know what I'm missing, and the movies are great! So =P to all yall. But give me a Scientific American, or an Astronomy Magazine and I'm down. I love facts about the Universe in which we live.
Heroes:
My family and friends. God too... if such a thing exists. Atheists... if God doesn't.
