Vindell E. Smith is The Guitorganist!!!

Soundman, I need you to turn God up in the mix...

About Me

Guitorganist...what does that mean? It is the renaissance of the modern day guitarist. No longer subject to the boundaries placed on them by the industry. Guitorganists are more than just "lead players" for intros and hits, their presence is felt the entire song. Guitorganist isn't just a title, its a mentality. The objective is to always be a part of the song. Long after the licks are forgotten, the song will always be remembered. At the age of 25, Vindell E. Smith has been gaining the reputation of the guitarist who plays the organ chords for the past eight years. Given the name "Guitorganist" during a rehearsal when the organist failed to show, Vindell played the entire rehearsal with just a bass player and a drummer. This was nothing new to Vindell, since growing in church he gained these skills playing alone with a drummer. Some would assume that playing alone would cause a rebel mentality when in band situations, quite the opposite. Like a seasoned veteran, he knows when to step out or blend in.Vindell E. Smith has been blessed to perform/record/produce with/for Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Maya Angelou, Yolanda Adams, Bebe Winans, Cece Winans, Marvin Winans, Martha Munizzi, Fred Hammond, Vickie Winans, Pastor Paula White, Deleon Richards-Sheffield, The Clark Sisters, Karen Clark-Sheard, Cheryl "Coko" Clemons, Rev.Timothy Wright, Marvin Sapp, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Maurette Brown-Clark, Melvin Williams, Dottie Peoples, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, Melonie Daniels, Timiney Figueroa-Caton, Doobie Powell, Norman Thomas, producers Stanley Brown, Troy Oliver, and Troy Taylor. He is currently doing dates with up and coming artist/songwriter/producer Deon Kipping and Stellar award nominee J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise. He is also a part of Deon Kipping's Love & Life Ent. production team. He has appeared on the Word network, live on streamingfaith.com with the Greater Allen Cathedral of Queens, New York as well as Pastor Paula White's "Life By Design Empowerment Center held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in the Manhattan Center. These productions can be viewed on various networks such as BET, CMT, Daystar, FOX, TBN, TVOne, etc. He has 3 appearances on this upcoming season of BET's longest running program, Bobby Jones Gospel. Currently you can hear The Guitorganist in the musical score of BET's new hit show "Exalted". The future is looking bright for The Guitorganist, his production company, Soul Strum Society is currently preparing instructional materials for future 'Guitorganists'. His B.S. in Managing Communication from Southern Connecticut State University (2006) transitioned him from musician to business man, giving him relevance in almost any situation. "True greatness is what we deposit in the lives of others...", Vindell often says.
