There's really only ONE show worth being faithful to: 24. Others that have peaked my interest, and which, well, I've liked: Lost, Deadwood, Friends, Alias, Simpsons, Sex and the City, Walking with Dinosaurs, Secrets of WWII. Classics include: Fawlty Towers, Monty Python's Flying Circus, A-Team!, Batman (60's series), Zorro (B&W), and all the Swedish classics such as Pippi Longstocking, Emil i Lönneberga and Saltkråkan.
I just read a really good book called "The United States of Europe". Very entertaining and interesting. I can also recommend the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik, the first book is called "His Majesty's Dragon". I've read more books, but I don't want to crowd the space.
Robert Rodriguez, Peter Jackson, Jim Caviezel, Ingmar Bergman, my family, and Jenny. They all influence me or inspire me in different ways.
