About Me

Pavilon M2 were established in the summer of 2003 in Hradec Kralove, a town located in the north-east of the Czech Republic, upon the remains of a band called Enviro where both singer, guitarist and drummer have taken their parts. In November of 2003 are Pavilon M2, named after the folded-up factory, recording their very first 5 song EP called "Aquarius" which in spite of band members' past different musical experiences, consists of songs influenced by guitar psychedelic music as well as bands like Blonde Redhead, Sonic Youth and Radiohead. Some of these songs are broadcasted via the independent radio station Radio 1 in Prague.During the year of 2004 Pavilon M2 were touring quite intensively while preparing new songs for their debut album. The album named "Safety About Your Glass Face" was recorded at the end of 2004 at Jamor Studio by Ondrej Jezek (OTK, Gnu, Ecstacy of St. Theresa) and includes eleven tracks combining straightforward aggresive noisy parts with almost meditative spirits. The album was released in March 2005 on independent indie record label Free Dimension and is positively accepted within Czech music magazines: "Safety About Your Glass Face is the album you've got to spin again" (Musicserver.cz) or "This debut album by Pavilon M2 is to be a long-time missing cult over here" (Freemusic.cz).
