A Rochester, NY, native, Christopher A. House has been in the ministry for over 11 years. He serves as an associate minister at the Bibleway Healing Assembly in Rochester, New York. Christopher ministers under the covering of his Pastors and grandparents, Dr. Eulah M. Nelson and Rev. I.V. Nelson.As the Holy Ghost has instructed, Christopher is being groomed for domestic and foreign apostolic work. As the Lord leads, Christopher will being planting churches in the near future. Christopher's passion is Christian Education. He is currently working to materialize the dream of the "Eulah M. Nelson K-6 Academy of Excellence" in Rochester, NY. Christopher also has been called to plant and establish adult ministry training centers for adults who have been called to ministry, but cannot, due of the demands of life, attend Bible College full time. Christopher completed his theological studies at Elim Bible Institute (Lima, NY) where received a Diploma in Ministry Leadership.Christopher occupies a unique space in that his voice is heard within Christendom and Academia, alike. As a frequent guest lecturer, plenary, and keynote speaker on college campuses and at academic conferences, Christopher speaks passionately on the subject of Religious Rhetoric and much more. He is an alumnus of The College at Brockport, SUNY where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 2004, Christopher was featured as an emerging scholar in: TIME; NEWSWEEK; SPORTS ILLUSTRATED; U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT; and PEOPLE MAGAZINE. As one of The College at Brockport’s presidential and McNair scholars, Christopher completed a research project in the Department of Communication with mentor, Dr. Floyd Anderson, on "Burkean Dramatisic Theory in the 1995 O.J. Simpson Trial."After receiving a B.S. degree in Communication, minor in Philosophy, Christopher pursued a master’s degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies at Syracuse University. As a prestigious Syracuse University Fellow, he completed his master's thesis, "Hebrew Prophet Oratory: A Rhetoric of Confrontation" under the guidance of Dr. Amos Kiewe, Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies, and was conferred his M.A. degree in May 2007.His current research interest is in the domain of religious rhetoric. Christopher is very interested in exploring the relationship between different denominations of Christian churches, mediated texts and media technologies used in contemporary forms of proselytizing and sermon delivery. Christopher will begin his doctoral studies at the University of Pittsburgh (PITT)in August 2008, while pursing a second, concurrent Masters degree in Religious Studies there. As an premier doctoral candidate, the University of Pittsburgh awarded Christopher an Irvis K. Leroy Fellowship and Graduate Teaching Fellowship during his academic tenure. Christopher firmly believes that education bathed in the anointing often causes one to soar farther and grants access to arenas where preachers ordinarily are not accepted. These arenas, then, become powerful platforms where we can speak the truth of God's word to power.Christopher poignantly confesses "success comes by choice and not by chance. All that I am Jesus has made me."Christopher is the founder and lead facilitator of "Thurzday Nite Live Bible Study Fellowship" group at Syracuse University. This non-denominational fellowship group has been a powerful means of building Christian community while bringing healing, deliverance, and salvation to many on the Syracuse University campus. Many students have been saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost while attending these fellowship meetings. "Thurzday Nite Live" is helping to establish the Kingdom of God at S.U.As a young man God’s hand is mightily seen upon his life.
