Randy Stockum is a guitarist/ songwriter from the Dallas-Ft. Worth ,Tx part of the United States. His style is influenced by "Everyone and Every Good Song." His songwriting style is best described as "Roots" Rock or Americana (at this time.) When not songwriting, Randy performs with FEVER-The ULTIMATE Tribute Band. FEVER is known in the Tribute field of music as One of the Very Best Bands in this circle. They back a number of Tribute Artists, mainly ELVIS Tributes, but also back a NEIL DIAMOND Tribute, A ROY ORBISON, JOHNNY CASH (see video on left side of profile), A WILLIE NELSON and a BARBARA STREISAND Tribute. Randy also performs with a couple of his old GIDGET'S BAD HABIT band members in a band called 3 MEN 1 BULLET! Randy has also had the honor to perform on stage with several of Rock n' Roll's "Greats". He has performed with Elvis Presley's original drummer, D.J. FONTANA as well as ED ENOCH and The STAMPS Quartet, and also The SWEET INSPIRATIONS. One of his greatest honors was having Texas Guitar Maestro, BUGS HENDERSON come up and comment on his playing after watching Randy play Elvis songs at Dick's Last Resort in Dallas. BUGS, a devout Elvis and SCOTTY MOORE Fan told Randy he "Hit the Nail on the head" when referring to his covering of Scotty Moore and James Burtons guitar licks. Randy has also jammed with Ft. Worth's own STEVIE HILL of BLOODROCK fame. The songs on this site are either written by Randy or are his interpretations of older songs. Randy plays all the instruments with MAJOR DOODY (Ronnie Lee) on vocals on a couple of these tracks. Randy sings the others. With all of his achievements in the music business, Randy says his Proudest achievement is his son, TAYLOR and now his new Grandson , NOAH. "They are what makes me Proudest in the world!" He currently is also a partner and manager of Kit Kat Studios in the Euless area of Texas. ( www.kitkatstudios.com ).

You've got something mighty special here with "Hobo." The down-and-out storytelling of Johnny Cash with a charasmatic voice like Elvis. Very unique in its authenticity.

I like your cheeky comments and the cinematic ambience of your songs. They inspire characters and David Lynch-ish plots.

you really know how to "swing it", brother! Been listening to your songs, and love the vibe of everything you're doing. There's an awful "lot of Texas" in surf instrumentals, you know :)
