About Me

Hi there, I'm Jason. I love the art of recording. I started on a 4-track tape machine in my dad's attic, way back when. Today it's state-of-the-art digital recording with the vintage gear that made so many great records over the past 3 decades. You can hear a selection of projects I've worked on below...

My Interests

Album recording & mixing, synthesizers, socializing, films, reading, great coffee, Knob Creek, Woodford Reserve, black cavendish.... I love the fresh air of a cool morning. The Fall is my favorite time of year. Listening to music in Hi-Fi, imax films, sensory experience. Good conversation over a cup of coffee...

I'd like to meet:

Musicians / Artists The following songs represent my work in the roles of Engineer, Mixer, Producer.
Tracks 1 & 2 are the latest works finished from the Studio Blue sessions of the Mass Ensemble. These tracks will be featured on their upcoming release Planet String (c)2007.
Tracks 3 & 4 are in memory of my friend, Raif Pomeroy, who passed away this year. I post them as his last known works.

The following video is a clip from the 2007 Studio Blue session. I have been working with Bill Close to capture his 80-foot and 25-foot Harps on his upcoming album from the Mass Ensemble.

Music:

Down-tempo, ambient grooves, rock, acoustic rock, classical, jazz... www.somafm.com - Groovesalad. I enjoy the album experience. I listen to DVD-Audio discs in high definition surround sound. It's awesome. 128kbpd mp3's from iTunes suck ass!!! and you don't know it, and you overpaid for it.

Movies:

Home Theatre is where it's at. DVD's may go the way of laserdisc, but I still manage to find a good selection on my shelf. mix of action/adventure/drama/documentary

Television:

Turned off my television in 1997. I don't miss it in the least. The average American watches 4 to 6 hours of television each day. It's not surprising why people are so misinformed. I encourage you to turn yours off. Read!!

Books:

A Century of War, The Party's Over, Demon Haunted World, Book of Hiram, Big Coal, Thoreau, Einstein Essays, Carl Jung

My Blog
