About Me

I'm just a girl who likes music and was lucky enough to land a part-time job at a radio station in 1996 while in college. Thanks to my husband, I fell in love with the music, the people, and what it all stands for. Four radio stations and almost 10 years later, my husband and I HAVE BOUGHT the radio station we were working for!!! Super cool!

Other quirky tibits of info about me: I love to cook and I LOVE to eat! If I ever win the lottery, I will buy a pimped out bus and travel to every state I can drive to. I love to birdwatch! I am a magazine junkie. I like to be all artsy-fartsy and make stuff like cards and bookmarks. I love a cold beer on a hot day. Love making a big pot of beans with ham on a cold day! I love to be alone. But I love to be surrounded by friends! I love being just one of the guys. I love Crosby, Stills, Nash & sometimes Young. I want to meet David Crosby. I also love Paul Simon. I'd like to meet him too. I prefer Macs over PCs. I love the coast - especially Port Aransas. I love to organize things and have things in their place which is good for me since I seem to always have clutter! I can talk about off-shore, deep-sea fishing ALL DAY LONG and can probably out-fish you! Shopping is always fun with my mom and my collection of purses seems to keep growing. I love my husband dearly and my friends as well. Laughter truly is the best medicine.

My Interests

Music. Texas/Americana/Acoustic/Classic Rock/Blues and everyone who is cool but you just don't really know how to classify them. I love music.

Food. I love to cook, and I love to eat. I love to cook for friends and entertain and that whole thing. If there's football on (or basketball now) you can bet we're cooking out and entertaining with our buddies!

Travel. There's nothing better than the anticipation of getting to go somewhere. It could be a weekend excursion to Austin to see friends and catch some music or it could be a week-long trip to somewhere new. Making the decision to go, the anticipation of waiting to go and finally heading out...there's nothing like it. Travel by car, by plane or by boat...I'll take it any way I can get it.

I'd like to meet:

David Crosby. No, I mean, I really, really want to meet David Crosby. After reading his autobiography and the biography of the band (CSN)...I can't really explain it...but after reading all that, I just felt like David's life and experiences were so much more intriguing to me. I don't know why. But, being in the music industry, the last thing I want to do is look like an obsessed fan. I make fun of those people. I don't want to be one.

Books:

Yeah, I love to read. But I'm into about 4 different books right now and not making much progress in any of them! Some of those include Tom Wolfe's "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" and "Garcia: An American Life" by Blair Jackson.

Heroes:

Very much my mom. And my dad. And anyone who can own their own business doing what they love and are good at, making a living and being respected for it all.
