singing, product design, jazz...i find myself continually fascinated with any new means of improving character... As lame as it sounds, i strive to become a better person everyday... self help books, advice, constructive criticism, lay it on me. I want people to look at me, and say, "She is a good person". i WILL BE the good samaritan...
Billie Holiday. Maybe in the next life.
whoa. been a while since ive edited this. Im in an awesome acapella group, the USC Sirens... love it. JaZZ, hip hop... I dig all the old greats-- Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis. I WANT TO BE ELLA FITZGERALD... With the hip hop scene, Im more into underground kinda mellow beats, i love common. "Sun God"- check it out. I listen to the occaisional music of the punk-rock persuasion (my sister's influence). Love me some good string bass and acoustic piano. Really into the indie/acoustic scene... Sara Bareilles, Gabriel Mann.John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Common, Gene Krupa, Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong. Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday. Eva Cassidy, Sarah Vaghn. Eric Clapton, Tracy Chapman. UCLA Awaken, UVA Hullabahoos, UPENN off the beat. Etta James, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall. Charlie Parker, Dave Matthews, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonius Monk. Al Green, The Roots, Gavin DeGraw, John Coltrane, Marvin Gaye, Norah Jones, Oscar Peterson, Jessica Andrews (check out the ballad version of "Theres more to me than you"), Rascal Flatts. Nothing of the country-twang-hoedown persuasion. Good ol Toto, Genesis. Power ballads of the 90's. Billy Idol makes me smile, too.
"Seven", "The Game".. (love David Fincher) "Office Space"... Movies with the dry sarcasm and witty charm, and a good "Who-done-it". LOVE old hitchcock films.. "Rear Window" is my favorite. "Little Miss Sunshine," "Run Lola Run," "Dead Poets Society," etc.
HOUSE, M.D. He may be 53, but this is the hottest man ever to be on the small screen.
