I moved to the UK from Canada and I love it! I have been here just over two years now. People ask all the time why did you move here? Well . . . the main reason is for my husband Paul! Awwww . . . The second reason is because I have always wanted to come to the UK. Every summer friends and I wanted to fly over to attend festivals. I think because I was into music and a large selection of the bands I liked when I was younger (and even now) were British, I was into the culture and I wanted to be here. I am a huge music fan and in Canada (near Toronto) I ran a small independent music Fanzine/Magazine with a close friend for two years that focussed on Indie bands. It was a great experience that enabled me to meet a lot of cool people and learn lots. Even though the fanzine is no more I still love checking out new bands and listening to what's out there.

My Interests

Music (mostly indie and 60's), movies, reading, painting, going to shows and checking out bands, going for walks, going out for dinner, hanging out with friends, etc.

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people who have similar musical tastes, like to chat, and have opinions and are not afraid to discuss or express them. I also would like to make some new friends here in the South to chat and hang out with. :)

The Man who fell to Earth, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, 24 Hour Party People, Labyrinth, Quadrophenia, Yellow Submarine, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas (any Tim Burton film - the man is a genius in my book!), Indiana Jones trilogy, Pan's Labyrinth, and many more. That's just a sampling!

Television:

Actually don't watch alot of Tele but when I do . . . Doctor Who, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Muppets, Spooks, CSI Miami and CSI New York, Twin Peaks (can't beat David Lynch for weird and wonderful), Lost, The Mighty Boosh, Planet Earth, Torchwood, and I'm loving the X-Files again (after I recently won the entire set of series 1-9 and have started watching from the beginning again).

Books:

Any by Anne Rice, Memoirs of a Geisha, No Logo, Gormenghast by Mervyn Peake, Love & Poison by David Barnett, The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.

Heroes:
