My Interests

Music...there is so much out there that I still haven't listened to!!DRINKIN,SMOKIN,DANCIN!JUST GOT DECKS.....oh the neighbours will rejoice! Play DRUMS (got a Yamaha Stage Custom kit in midnight blue....its my baby!), play a bit of guitar on me eletro-acoustic wheneva I feel inspired.PLAY FOOTBALL regularly. Play in goal for University and captain Sherfield Wednesday (my halls team)...check this link (copy @ paste into browser)....http://groups.msn.com/sherfieldwednesdayfootball clubLove the drunken banter with the football team on the way back from away games...once drunk a BOTTLE OF PORT and jumped into the RIVER KENNETT for a swim through town with another pisshead. I support Brighton & Hove Albion & the mighty spurs.Used to Body-board and been reunited with the passion since moving away from the sea....theres so many things you take for granted in life and miss them when theyre gone. I also have quite some interest in making THE FINEST 'GROG' (thats punch kids!)...much love, ANIMAL

I'd like to meet:

Alot of people...even a short-list is difficult! Richard Ashcroft, Pete Salisbury (Both Verve members), Michael Caine, Nick Hornby, Natalie Imbruglia (so she'll fall in love with me), The guys behind Wallace & Gromit, the SFA for all the crazy times Ive had listenin to them and of course.....some fun lovin Indie gals! And Those I'd Love To Meet When Its All Over: Would love to have a drink with Keith Moon, A day in the studio with John Bonham, A day in Barham with Jim Morrison, An evening in the DJ box with John Peel (to compare collections), A chat on soul music with Marlena Shaw, And of course a spliff on a peace march with John Lennon.

Music:

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO: Gilles Peterson's back-catalogue....have discovered such an array of music through this dude. Hero. The rest is impossible to summarize without leaving something i love out in the cold...Being a musician and collector it's very hard to narrow my taste down but here are the first few that come into my head.... The Verve, Pink Floyd, the Music, Stone Roses, Small Faces, the Doors, The Beatles, The Rain Band, General Elektriks, Roots Bloody Rootsman, High Tone, SFA, Underworld, Jehst, Skinnyman, Klashnekoff, Kula Shaker, Theo Parrish, Supergrass, ORBITAL, Sasha & Digweed, York, The Who, The Seahorses, Ian Brown, Vashti Bunyan, Neil Young, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, Modeselektor, Led Zeppelin, New Order, Prml Scrm, Early Joy Division, Television, Head Automatica, FFAF, Idlewild, Coheed & Cambria, Squarepusher, Beta Band, Ambulance Ltd, Lemon Jelly, ....bloody hell this is REALLY HARD. I give up. If its 60s garage/psych/bubblegum/soul its in, if its progressive acid house or jazz its in, If its Psy-Trance on big f*ck-off projections (i.e. anything Orbital influenced) its definately in....

Movies:

Quadrophenia, Donnie Darko, High Fidelity, 24hr Party People, Butterfly Effect, Human Traffic, Trainspotting, Football Factory, Lock Stock, Snatch, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Layer Cake, Withnail & I, The Doors, Get Carter, Scarface, Gangster No.1... the list goes on...!

Books:

'The Alchemist' (Paulo Coelho): this is the greatest book ever written, introduced to me by my ex-girlfriend bless her. I have never felt so much energy in a book before, it has certainly influenced my way of thinking. READ IT.'High Fidelity' (Nick Hornby): Love his style of writing, many of my friends compare his writing style to mine. God knows why?! He's a legend!

Heroes:

Of whom I've met: BEZ (Happy Mondays), danced with him for half an hour at the Arc, Brighton @ the end of his explosive Primal Scream/ Happy Mondays DJ set. I love that man! MANI (Stone Roses), bumped into him outside the dance tent at Glastonbury where he asked me "do you have any Rizla man?" much to my utter dismay I'd just ran out...cos Rizla means spiff! Anyway, didn't seem to put him off as he came over and started dancin with us..to which I dusted off the old 'Rooster' dance...he loved that! PETE DOHERTY (Libertines), the guy kinda made music cool again. Good classic image goin on, met this guy at a set in Brighton to which our only interaction was him & I swigging blindly out of my mates hip-flask fulla whiskey (lucky for Pete) and lighting my cigarette. The words 'off his head' spring to mind. MY MATES...WE ARE THE BIGGEST HEROES! (and my old-man for jus being himself)Others: Steve Coogan....Partridge is a legend...
