Formed in 1998, Goin’ Native Records is a next-generation independent music label that is extremely passionate about producing World Beat music with an eye and ear for "A-List" talent. The label features several albums with music intimately connected to the Caribbean and the Island Lifestyle. Anyone who enjoys time on or near the water will instantly identify with this kind of music as the label is focused on developing and delivering authentic music - with a vacation vibe. A cornerstone of the label’s philosophy is to significantly add more value to the listening experience by providing songs that take you somewhere and provide both relaxing and party moods. Through its diverse collection of original music, Goin’ Native Records provides mail order and retail CD sales as well as a wide array of music licensing options to the media industry. Future plans are being finalized to further build upon and embrace the digital download format, subscription services, and mobile music market, by offering two tiered pricing for individual music files protected with digital rights management (DRM) and those without. The boutique record label specializes in producing fresh and unique sound - featuring exotic rhythms from the Caribbean, African, Latin, Andean and Floribbean genres. As the digital revolution continues to explode, the major labels are taking more of an interest in world music as they look to maximize every revenue opportunity and Goin’ Native is strategically positioned to deliver incredibly authentic and culturally diverse digital content for physical and digital distribution now and in the future. Using a combination of native and acoustic instruments and modern technology, Goin’ Native artists will transport any listener around the world on a colorful musical journey. The music catalog consists of local and international artists and concept bands. Most recently, the Dominican Latin pop band Mamajuana partnered with Universal Music Latino for worldwide distribution. Goin’ Native Records is deeply committed to its artists and feels a strong commitment to the development, marketing, and promotion of each act. This commitment is the foundation by which it operates, because at Goin’ Native - it's all about the artists and the music they create. The label’s objective is to consistently seek out new talent and develop them into successful recording artists. In addition, the label also operates a music publishing company and administers all rights to the entire catalog. The company believes that by forming strategic alliances and building strong relationships in the marketplace that are mutually beneficial, it will have the essential building blocks for continued success in CD sales, licensing and co-publishing deals. My Interests

Finding new and innovative ways to help our artists earn more income from the sale of their digital music, while simultaneously respecting consumer rights to fair use for previously purchased music.

I'd like to meet:

The first video below is Ricardo Silva and Jose Luis Madueno explaining the making and culture behind AfroAndina Christmas.Next, Mamajuana's new video "Hoy Yo Quiero Tu Amor," is a pre-release single to the band's next album. Be sure to check out the video, which is currently receiving regular rotation on HTV, VH1, and Telemundo! Check out their website for more info: www.mamajuana.net.Following Mamajuana, is Miami based singer/songwriter Jose Val, with his title track song, "Cuentame." Jose Val's neweset album, "Cuentame," offers us an impeccable production, new compositions and modern acoustics, including 11 tracks that invite us to find new sounds in Latin pop.Maru are two Peruvian performers with the quality and experience needed to succeed in the international music market. Maru plays traditional music from the Andes and Afro Peruvian styles as well, but the originality of this duo brings new flavor to them because of the pop influences and other non Peruvian Latin styles like the Cumbia and the Bachata.
