I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Dubbed "The Nicest Guy In The World " by my best friends, but it just ain't true. Screw you guys.

My Interests

Radio, especially sketch writing, performing and editing; audio production. Love film and video, and have written several scripts and sketches. Would love to be a writer/performer like the Monty Python guys.

I'd like to meet:

All of the Monty Python guys. (They were genius writers and performers).Martin Scorsese, Gary Oldman, Joel Schumacher, Peter Weir, Russ Martin.Oh...you mean on MySpace? Well...anyone, really. I love to learn about other cultures.

Music:

Just about any kind of music is great with me.I taught myself the piano and I was one of the staff piano guys at Alley Cats and Times Square in Addison from 1997-2002.The Beatles are my very favourite band, and I am most musically influenced by Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson.Love anything with vocal harmony. Have several music projects, including "The Black and White Psychedelic" with my buddy John. Plus, I love to write and record. I even air my own music on the station where I work--90.1 KERA.I love other cultures' music as well.

Movies:

I have so many movies, and Christine and I like to watch movies together. Some of my very favourites are all of the Star Wars movies, Dead Poet's Society, Dances With Wolves, Amadeus, The Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino....I could go on and on.

Television:

Don't really watch a whole lot of TV. I love the British comedies and the Python television stuff. Speaking of Python on television, I am very proud of the fact that I am employed at the station that was the first to introduce Monty Python to American television.

Books:

I am trying hard to read books. Although I'm a pretty good reader, it has been tough for me to get a book that holds my attention.I've found that I like the mob books. I read "Wiseguy," and "Casino," and I'm working on "The Godfather."Oh...I forgot. I have read the Thomas Harris novels, the Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, and Red Dragon. I also really enjoyed Cosmos and This Demon-Haunted World by Carl Sagan. Worked on A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. Oh...I forgot as well...it's not exactly classic literature, but I do have and read Brian Wilson's autobiography. I met him and he signed it for me.Christine has so many books and I have tried to read alot of them. I started Charlie Chaplin's biography, and read some of Deepak Chopra's books.

Heroes:

Leonardo DaVinci, Charlie Chaplin, Mozart, all of the Monty Python group, Walt Disney, Don Bluth, Russ Martin and JD Ryan, Ron Chapman.

Another sketch

Here's one of several I wrote and produced for the Sunday morning show I did out in Weatherford.   Really enjoyed that. They pretty much left me alone, so I did a funny bit at 9:15 Sunday mornin...

EBS Sketches

Well...got nothin' else to do with 'em, so I guess I'll just post 'em here. This is one in the very many sketches of mine and John's character radio stuff. I admire the Pythons so much because they wr...

"New" House

Well...it's new to us. It's all rewired and safe; we have lights and plugs in all the right places and now we don't live like we're camping. Extension cords strewn about and conscientious light-pluggi...

Me on drums

That's an old picture of me, probably about ten years. I played in a local band. Didn't really do much; we did play all the hottest clubs at Deep Ellum, but nothing really came of it. It was like pull...

Blah blah blahg

Wrote to Russ Martin to tell him that his billboard's lights were out on 75 and Woodall Rodgers. He wrote back and said thanks. Been working on the music for Bruce, I helped Adriana with her demo, and...

"Non mi parli Inglese...."

It worked. Went to the same Jack-In-The-Box and still they got my order wrong. However, I had a better day yesterday, so I wasn't as upset. Yet, I was approached yet again, this time by a black woman....

Sabado en la manana

Okay....so I can't write Spanish with a good accent, either. It is Saturday morning at the station. I really enjoy being left here alone. Not that I would do anything; taking advantage of being alone....

"Satan finds work for idle hands"

Friday morning....not too bad. I feel good because I'm here at the station filling in for Gini and I am running the board for the day. I have been somewhat busier because Abby has been giving me some...

Another bullet in the f-up belt

Today I got to do some recording for the station. It was the Dallas District Attorney candidates luncheon, and I was sent to record audio on my minidisc for Marla for local news. I noticed a pretty hi...

Just screwed up on the air...

Damn it. Oh, well. I made myself laugh. Not on the air, but for some reason, I screwed up the weather. Probably made a couple hundred thousand people laugh, too. Well...I am too hard on myself; I just...
