I've played the electric guitar for about six and a half years now, and have dabbled with classical guitar and flamenco guitar here and there.

My Interests

Music, music and more music. Relaxing on the weekend when my mind has gone to mush, and more music.

I'd like to meet:

Musicians - specifically singers, classical and non, as well as composers and other artists who are active in some sort of scene.

Music:

Dream Theater, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Children of Bodom, Kamelot, Dragonforce, Stratovarius, Pain of Salvation. Guitar virtuosi like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Al Dimeola, the flamenco master Paco de Lucia. Classical stuff: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Bartók, Ligeti, Schoenberg, Mahler, Berg, Lutoslawski, Albéniz, Tarréga, Ravel, Shostakovich, Stucky, Topel.

Movies:

Jurassic Park, Blazing Saddles, Shaun of the Dead, Team America

Television:

24, South Park, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Sopranos.

Books:

I need to read more. Right now? Probably Catch-22. Favorite piece of literature right now though is Jorge Luis Borges' short story "The Garden of the Forking Paths."

Heroes:

Too many, most of them nameless.
