I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a sophomore in college (majoring in biology), and I love to learn. I'm a work in progress, so watch out! I love to grow and I like to walk this journey of discovery with my Savior, Jesus Christ. Other than my relationship with Christ, I love to read, work with horses, cook, sing and just be alone or with people. I love social outings, but equally I think it's amazing to curl up on a cold evening with coffee and a good book. I love fall and Christmas-season winter, but nothing makes me grin like a lightning-bug on the edge of the woods in summer. I think you should be entitled to wear gym shorts and t-shirts EVERY day of the week, and everyone should learn to smile more. People need to love and be loved, so we should just all do what we can to honor Jesus Christ, other people, and lastly, our dreams. That's me in a nutshell. TaDa!

My Interests

Hmm...I think it can all be summed up by looking at the "About Me" box.

I'd like to meet:

Christian intellectuals and comedians. Tell me how you think the world works! Be imaginative...and make me laugh while you explain your philosophies from how great God is to why hot pizza always burns the skin on the roof of your mouth. Talk to me about your favorite Biblical heroes and why you think that there's something to be gained from taking a stroll in their sandals. Sing me your favorite worship song, or tell me all the jokes from a good sermon you heard the other day. I'm curious. I want to know! Oh, and I wouldn't mind hanging out with Brad Paisley or Josh Turner either. =)

Music:

I like Phil Wickham, David Crowder, Shawn McDonald, Aieysha Woods, Nicole C. Mullen, Nicole Nordeman, Superchick (occasionally), and Hillsong. In the secular field I like Brad Paisley, Josh Turner, Billy Currington, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Bucky Covington and several others I can't remember. I also love old stuff. I grew up with parents that loved the Beach Boys, the Doobie Brothers, James Taylor, Three Dog Night, Carly Simon, The Captain and Tenille, and the Troggs...gosh, there are gobs more. Still, I'm really ecclectic. I love this stuff, and then I can turn right around and enjoy singing hymns at my country church.

Movies:

The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia (when the rest of them are made), The Wedding Date, Meet Joe Black, Bubble Boy, The Hot Chick, Sweet Home Alabama, Elizabethtown, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Mickey Blue Eyes, Patch Adams, The Patriot, The Gladiator, Gone with the Wind, White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Harvey, Oklahoma, The King and I, South Pacific, Princess Bride, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and others.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, Dog the Bounty Hunter, CSI, NCIS, According to Jim, The George Lopez Show, SNL, and The Late Show.

Books:

The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Native Son, The Invisible Man (by Ellison), The Baron in the Trees, What a Girl Wants, She's Out of Control, With This Ring I'm Confused, Heart Divided, The Scarlet Letter, A Tale of Two Cities, and plenty of other classics and contemporary novels, not to forget the epic of all epics, the Bible

Heroes:

Jesus; King David, his wife Abigail, Abraham, Esther, Ruth, Joshua, Elisha, Elijah, and John the Revelator; Aslan; Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie; Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Theoden, Eowyn, Eomer, Faramir, Pippin, Merry, Sam, and Frodo; my best friends!
