Music has always been my biggest hobby, I love listening and playing it. I play guitar (well a few of them), I have a Martin D-1 acoustic, a Gibson Pete Townshend Signature SG, and a Burns Steer, the last two are electrics. I play a myriad of pedals through a 1971 Fender Twin Reverb (hence the URL address - get it?). I also have a lap steel that I keep telling my self that I am going to learn one of these days. As for the listening I mostly like guitar driven and singer song writer bands. Top 5 Hifidelity Style 1) The Who - Pete Townshend is an amazing writer and the entire band is one of the most talented groups ever 2) Wilco - just try to tell me Jeff Tweedy is not brilliant 3) The Weakerthans - Incredible lyrics! 4) Alkaline Trio - They make being angry fun with a punk rhythm 5) Jeff Buckley - "Grace" is second only to "Quadrophenia" as the best album ever.I race sail boats, it may sound lame but its a lot of fun. And I ride bicycles. I ride road and track "if it's fixed don't brake it!". I love riding my track bike in the city, fixed gear and no brakes is the best way to see Philly.
Besides my top 5 above other bands I "dig with a square shovel" are the Drive by Truckers, Scott Miller and the Commonwealth, Son Volt, The Dandy Warhols, The Cure, The Promise Ring, Tony Rice, Sunny Day Realestate, The Fire Theft, The Electric Six, The Darkness, and many others.
