Born in Sao Paulo,Brazil,at the age of 12 Lika began her interest in the DJs world. Frequently going to the matinees to see up close the magic that the sound systems would bring to the street parties and schools later on. She began as an assistent DJ (playing a record while the DJ was at the toilet) but the interest and passion pushed her to the total control of the turntables what gave to the girl from the outskirts the chance at becoming one of the top DJs in Brazil. At 13 she was invited to play regularly for the Adrenalina's party(Adrenalina was a regular radio show at Transamerica FM).At 15 she became the resident DJ of one of the biggest clubs in Sao Paulo (Broadway).In 1.995 was invited to be part of the DMC agency travelling all over the country In 1.996 won the the DJ REVELATION award by DJ Sound magazine and was doing weekly slots in different radios stations such as Metropolitana (as DJ Metro Mix),Ativa(London Express) and Steelo FM and as guest DJ for Jovem Pan e 97FM.Played alongside big DJs such as Marky, Patife,Mau Mau,Andy,John Cutler,Soul Slinger,Steelo,XRS Land,Drumagick,Jay Cunning,John B as well as others and as an integral part with the bands M.I.N.A. and BOJO.Played for TV shows such as Vitrine and RG (both TV Cultura),O+(TV Bandeirantes), Jornal do SBT and Jornal da Globo.As a natural process got involved with productions of sountracks such as Face (Drumagick-Ai Maluco),Take Care (KOX-compilation LOV.E por Sao Paulo) and for the drink's advert Amarula as seen on TV.Founded in 1.998 the WDC (Women DJs Company) project that assisted and directed female DJs into the music industry.In 2002 she was invited to open the the electronic music arena at one of the biggest festivals in the world,the REC BEAT wich happens in february at the Recife's street carnaval.In june of the same year Lika moved to London with the intent to improove her musical knowledge since then played in places such as Cargo,93 Feet East,Brazilian Summer Festival,Neighbourhood, Attica Club,Notting Hill Arts Club,Guanabara (with Ether recs), JAM (Hydrophonic Breaks),Selfridges (Brazil 40graus),The Corsica Arts Club (Guerrilla Zoo),REX Club,LOVE,Vibe Bar,NORQ! and for the radios BREAKS FM and NuSchoolBreaks.co.uk. As a freestyle DJ/Producer Lika brings to the dancefloor a wicked combination between passion and impressive skills.*********************************************Nascida em Sao Paulo,Brasil,Lika aos 12 anos despertou seu interesse pelo mundo dos DJs.Regularmente frequentava festas e “matinees” para de perto ver a magia que as equipes de som trariam mais tarde as festas de rua e escolas do bairro.Comecou como “assistente do DJ” (tocando o disco quando o DJ precisava ir ao banheiro) mas seu interesse e paixao rapidamente a impulsionaram ao total controle dos tocas discos,o que deu a garota de periferia a chance a vir se tornar uma das maiores DJs do Brasil.Aos 13 foi convidada a tocar como residente das festas “Adrenalina” (radio Transamerica),viajando assim por toda Grande Sao Paulo.Aos 15 se tornou residente em um dos maiores clubes da cidade (Broadway).Em 1.995 foi convidada a fazer parte do casting da maior agencia de DJs do mundo (DMC) viajando assim por todo o pais.Em 1.997 ganhou da revista DJ Sound o premio “DJ Revelacao 96” e tocava semanalmente em programas de radios tais como: -Metropolitana FM (como DJ Metro Mix); -Ativa (London Express) e -Estilo FM, e como convidada: - Jovem Pan (Na Balada) e 97FM Trabalhou ao lado de grandes nomes como Marky,Patife,XRS Land,Ramilson Maia,Andy,Koloral,Mau Mau,John Cutler,Soul Slinger,Steelo (Breakspool UK),Drumagick,Jay Cunning,John B entre outros,e como parte integral das bandas M.I.N.A e BOJO (www.bojo.net). Na TV: -Vitrine e RG (TV Cultura); -O+ (TV Bandeirantes); -Jornal do SBT; -Jornal da Globo Feiras e exposicoes: -Expo Music (Stage Music); -Feira do Anhembi -Mercado Mundo MixComo um processo natural,envolveu-se com a producao de trilhas e faixas tais como: -Face (Drumagick - Ai Maluco); -Take Care (KOX - Compilacao LOV.E por Sao Paulo); -Amarula (anuncio da bebida para TV) Em 1.998 fundou a WDC (Women DJs Company),projeto que assistia e direcionava DJs para o mercado.Em 2.002 foi convidada a abrir a arena de musica eletronica em um dos maiores festivais do mundo,o REC BEAT,que acontece em fevereiro no carnaval de rua em Recife.Em junho do mesmo ano Lika mudou-se para Londres com o intuito de aperfeicoar seus conhecimentos musicais,desde entao tocou em lugares como Cargo,93 Feet East,Vibe Bar,Brazilian Music Festival (The Forum),Attica Club,Notting Hill Arts Club,Guanabara (com Ether Recs),JAM (Hydrophonic Breaks),Brasil 40 graus (Selfriges),Guerrilla Zoo (The Corsica Arts Club) ,Neighbourhood,REX Club,LOVE e como residente para a festa NORQ! E para as radios: -BREAKS FM e NuSchoolBreaks.co.uk Atuando como uma DJ de estilo livre (freestyle DJ) com seu set recheado de batidas quebradas e pulsantes,Lika traz para as pistas uma incrivel combinacao entre paixao e habilidade temperada com producoes proprias.
