About Me

Over the last 25 years I've been fortunate enough to play in a bunch of ensembles, of different shapes, styles, and sizes.Notable groups I've picked with over the last 15 years include a Klezmer odyssey with the Red Heifers featuring Rabbi Aaron Rubinstein on accordion, the legendary jazz percussionist Steve Chanin, Marshal McDonald on flugal (and whatever you put in his hands), Spencer Taylor on mando, and Jimbo Gaudet. The music above is a dab of Bovine Rouge, recorded in 2001.

I spent the mid 90s with Moonshine Still .

Improv'd for a time in a fusion duo/trio dubbed Fattus Apparatus,And two years around the country with Steel String Theory.Of recent, I've been picking with some new buds around Columbia, Bluegrass Remedy. The Remedy is Joey Evans on banjo, luthier Olin Davis of Rattlesnake Mandolins on the 8 string, and Joey Brooks on guitar. Picking with these guys has been a ton of fun and a trip back to the woodshed, whereas they have been picking together on and off for 15 years.Other than that, I've put the brakes on any touring to concentrate on being a dad for my two beautiful kids. Currently, I have a hectic day job, go to the grocery store, take kids to school. My day job is managing radio stations. Love my job. Dig my colleagues, and it's probably the first time in history that a bluegrass geek has been head over heels for a CHR.
