Mournful is a Black Metal band from Naples that starts its life in the beginning of 2005 from the will of Andras,Wulfran,Elysium and Leviathan to play a pure and brutal BM taking inspiration from great bands like DarkThrone and Marduk,but not copying them in themes or music.Soon begins the composition of own songs,and during august 2005 Mournful records its first demo-cd:Primordial Chaos. Themes are about Lovecraft's Cthulhu Myths and the music is the evil mixture born from the minds of the components. After "Primordial Chaos" Mournful and Leviathan split up,and so the next ep, "Black Obscure Metal", is recorded with a Drum-Machine. The music changes and become more mature and introspective. "Black Obscure Metal" is surely a sign of passage in Mournful's style. The band is always trying new solutions in their music, lyrics and life.
