About Me

I'm an NYU student and Adjuct Prof.

My Interests

Saving the world, writing and travelling

I'd like to meet:

People interested in history

Music:

I like the way that the human is constructed by my space as a consumer. What is the relationship between me and my choices? What is your relationship to the world. Bob said, "He who's not busy being born is busy dying." Now he who is not busy creating a profile is busy dying. Create or die, but then is it just another consumer product advertising your profile?THAT SAID - I played in the greatest group ever - "The 100th monkey generation - difference between everything anarchist can do, whether the cops want us to or not, join the band wagon biking band." I have a black flag tattoo and a germs burn.

Movies:

Matrix (the first) you are in the desert of the real, Pi, Requium for a Dream, Peck's Moby Dick, Quinn's Old Man and the Sea, Hellraiser (nearly all of them), Musicals (nearly all of them), Hitchcock (nearly . . ) and, the best of all time - Streetcar Named Desire (because I love blanche Dubois).

Television:

'Popular' was the only show that I have ever loved. But I generally I consider TV the enemy. The Lakers fourth quarters are my guilty pleasure.

Books:

I have written 4 manuscripts(two fiction and two non-fiction). Previews of my books are available on my website (www.pressjohn.com). I am mostly a non-fiction hog. Bowling Alone was the last great one I read, but have 65+ books I have loved summarized on my website, The Nurture Assumption was the great one before that. And E.K.'s nationalism and . . . PLATO RULES

Heroes:

The Founding Fathers, Samuel Huntington, Lester Frank Ward, Frances Kellor, Shakespeare, Edison and me.
