Paul Mantia BioPaul Mantia, like most aspiring artist, emerged from difficult times with support and talent being the only thing to drive him. Paul was born in one of the most inspiring cities of the world, New York. He was blessed in being raised in a musically gifted family with his father, Joseph Mantia, an outstanding drummer. With the additional love and support from his grandmother, Paul was destined to become an amazing talent. At age 5, Pauls father bought him his first guitar. Even as a young child he had the talent to compose his own music. Paul made his Grandmother and Father proud at age of 12 by composing his first song. If it had not been for their constant love and support, Paul would not have aspired into the man he is today if it had not been for his Grandmother. He dedicates his work to her loving memory in hopes that he still makes her as proud now as he did before her passing. Throughout his high school years, Paul played the piano and guitar from the moment he walked in the door to the time his father could convince him to get some rest. By the age 18, Paul had formed numerous bands that played and performed at many New York Scenes.At Age 23, Paul got his break by running into the legendary Billy Preston. He was given the opportunity to tour with him. Billy was so impressed with the young artist that he re-did one of Pauls earlier songs in his personal studio in California. Shortly after, Paul was introduced to one of his fathers good friends Ken Moutonot which opened up a whole new world of possibilities for him. He was able to record with Jimi Hendrixs Drummer, Buddy Miles and Perry Robinson, a legendary jazz clarinetist. He also was introduced to the legendary Buzzy Linhart, writer and composer of Bette Midlers theme song, You Gotta Have Friends.After being turned down from numerous record companies Paul bought his own studio in 2001. With this new resource at his disposal, Paul realized his vocal potential with a rock track he had composed. His Friends and family were taken aback by how his talent had grown. With this new boost of confidence, Paul pieced a 15 song demo together in his spare time over 4 years all on his own. Over the following two years he played and felt out the crowds to fine tune his artistic style with nothing but praise from his growing fans.With a fine tuned talent, Paul moved on June 5, 2003 to Orlando, Florida. With over a year of struggling with bogus contracts and backstabbing managers, Paul was left on the streets, and he kept going at it nothing could get in his way he was determined to reach his goal no matter what it took him to get there. Then late in the year, 2004, Paul decided to take a gamble and shop his demo to a small independent record label in Downtown Orlando and was signed. Once again, this was not what it seems to be. But his perseverance was always strong.
paul mantia is a multi talented artist.Currently, Paul is working on promoting his music through various websites and internet radio stations, which he is a feature artist. Also, he did a promotional segment on Local Six News in 2005.Paul is well on his way to becoming the next largest Rock star to come out of Central Florida. With a great Manager that sticks by him 100% Paul Mantia will produce a sound like no other.
