About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

Well I'm not exactly sure what to say about myself. My name is Kaluhialoha Tiare Eldridge. I'm the youngest of 4 sisters and I'm the only one of my sisters who doesn't have an English name. My middle name is Tahitian and my father gave it to me to show the Tahitian side of our genealogy. Polynesians are BIG on naming their kids after their ancestors to keep the names of their genealogy from dying out. Oh yeah, i almost forgot, i have 9 ethnicities. I'm Hawaiian, Samoan, Tahitian, Cherokee Indian, and a whole bunch of palangi. Other than this, i am from the "Shores of Waiehu" on the beautiful island of Maui! MAUI NO KA 'OI! .. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet our Prophet, President Hinckley. I wouldn't even need to meet him, but just to be in his presence would be an honor. I wanted to make it to O'ahu so bad when he was there recently, but i wasn't able to attend. The other person i wish i could've met was my dad's mom, Annie Ha'aheo Aikau. She just seemed like a great person, but she died at such a young age. My dad always tells us that she would've loved us and spoiled us a lot if she were still alive. I would of loved to talk to her cause she was a Manaleo, in other words, Hawaiian was her 1st language. I could've gained a lot of knowledge from her, but i know i'll meet her one day!

Music:

I love Hip Hop, R&B, Rap, some Country, local Hawaiian jams, & other Polynesian music.

Movies:

The Notebook, The Last of the Mohicans, Once Were Warriors, Pride & Prejudice, Possessions, Scarface, & Kalanimainu'u (cause a couple of my friends are in it).

Television:

Desperate Housewives, Real World, Road Rules, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, Soap Operas (Bold & the Beautiful, Young & the Restless, & As the World Turns), & Extreme Home Makeovers.

Books:

Puke Wehewehe 'Olelo Hawai'i (cause i couldn't have made it through college without it)!

Heroes:

My dad! He was always there for me whenever i needed him and sacrificed a lot of his time and money for me. He was my volleyball coach since i was like 1 until i graduated from high school. It was hard having him as my coach, but i benefitted a lot physically and mentally by having him there all the time. He was tough on me going to the games, @ the games, and on the way and @ home. I don't feel like i would be the person that i am today, if it weren't for my father. He and my mother worked hard to put me through college as well. They didn't expect me to do anything, but give them good grades and graduate. I saw a lot of my friends struggle to do it on their own and i was lucky enough to have my parents there to provide me with my education. Anytime times got hard, i just thought that i didn't want to disappoint my dad. Having him as a coach and as a father, that became a BIG part of my life, me not wanting to disappoint him. I hope i make him half as proud as i am of him. LOVE U DAD!My other hero, or i should say heroine, is my oldest sister, Tamara. She is very smart and has always been an overachiever. After she graduated college in '94, she moved to Japan and has been there ever since. Since i'm the youngest of all my sisters, Tamara was always like another mother to me. She always pushed me to be all that i could be, even when i didn't think that i could achieve those goals. She pushed me to go to college even though i didn't see college in my future. Thanks to her believing in me, i accomplished far more than i ever thought that i could. Mahalo nui e ku'u kaikua'ana! Aloha au ia 'oe mau a mau!!!!!!!
