Hi Everyone :) Im a Samoan, European *AFAKASI* girl from Hawai'i who loves to keep things positive and see the bright side of life.I am a graduate from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with my bachelors degree in Pacific Islands Studies with a focus in Polynesian Language, Literature, and Performing Arts, and am currently studying and working towards applying to Law school for the Fall of 2009. I will be serving a full-time mission first for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, on which hopefully I will leave this upcoming October. I love everything to do with Polynesian and Pacific Culture, Studies, Arts, Language, and our people. I would love to one day become a Polynesian film maker/playwright to create plays and films that represent our people with honor and integrity, instead of the stereotypes we see of us in films and the media today. After Law School I desire to become a land and civil rights lawyer, with a focus on indigenous politics and helping indigenous peoples, especially my Polynesian and Pacific people. I can't stand injustice, or anything that goes on in this world that just isin't right, especially when it comes to discrimination, racism, violation of civil rights, disrespect and desecration of cultural practicies, artifacts, and land, or corruption by the government or corporations that usually result in good, honest, hardworking people losing out. Hopefully one day I can help make a difference with those things.I am a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and love the gospel of Jesus Christ and the everyday mission to become closer to Him. Being baptized two years ago and having learned of the deeper purpose and meaning of life while experiencing a true conversion into the gospel of Jesus Christ was the best thing to ever happen to me :)My other passion in life is the performing arts...acting, singing, scriptwriting, directing..all of it :) Would love to open a Pacific and Polynesian Theatre one day. Also love to travel, read, write, compose lyrics and poems, movies, LOVE taking care of children and babies, think and talk about life, sit back and crack jokes and laugh really hard (especially with Polynesians, the funniest people on earth..for real! :), do volunteer work with the youth, listen and talk and share and recieve advice with friends and family about life and its struggles and blessings, and just constantly strive to discover and learn the truth in all things and gain a broader and more enlightened perspective on life :) I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
