Nice People are stooopid too!

About Me

I'm an extrovert (hard to believe, I know). My friends are generally my family, though I have an amazing sister, brother-in-law and a niece and nephew (I've got stories, just ask). I love to tell stories of the crazy stuff that I've experienced in life and hear what other crazy stuff my friends have gotten themselves into. I like to travel, but don't get to do it much. I like to laugh and am not afraid to laugh loud. I enjoy running, but need motivation to kick it up beyond the 3 mile loop around my house. I'm never satisfied with the status quo and think it's important to not only challenge myself but to surround myself with people that will challenge me to become a better person. I know most of the people on my friends list personally (save the celebrities). It's important for me to keep in touch with people from all my sections of life (past places I've lived, schools, work, etc). I was a youth minister for 5 years. Yeah, that usually shocks people, it's ok. I now work with software. That usually shocks people, too. I love good music, good food, good times, good people. I am old enough and have enough friends that I don't need to waste my time making myself fit in where I don't belong (though, too often I revert back to that self-conscious 7th grader--I'm working on it). My favorite drink is a gin and tonic. I drink lots of water not because I have to but because I like it. I like to cook, but generally need motivation to do so. I like to dance, but don't pretend to be good at it. I have fun staying in and playing games or going to the bar and playing some of my made up games (forced choice, anyone?). Wow, who knew I could talk about myself so much?

My Interests

live music, beach, outdoor stuff, movies, clubs, dancing, bars, travelling, laughing until it hurts, volunteering/helping others

I'd like to meet:

someone who will listen and force me to listen...someone that can teach me something new about our world and myself...

Music:

a little bit of everything (even country--GASP)...Ben Harper, Beastie Boys, 311, Dave Matthews, Nickel Creek, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World, Ben Folds, Black Eyed Peas, 80's, Madonna, Gnarls Barkley, James Blunt.....that's what is in my playlist right now.

Movies:

wide variety--indie films are good, but hit or miss. Requiem for a Dream, Forest Gump, Love Actually, 28 days later, Garden State, Saved!, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Old School, RENT...it's always changing

Television:

TIVO rocks my world....it makes helps me with "focused television addiction"...watch MTV a lot (ok too much for a 27 year old), but am branching out...south park, the OC, Reno 911, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, The Daily Show, Saturday Night Live, the Family Guy, Will & Grace, etc new obsessions: L Word and Weeds

Books:

last book read: Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamotte....working on the new Harry Potter, but some dumb ass ruined the ending for me, so I haven't been motivated...still having an on again-off again reading with Wicked, as well.

Heroes:

I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!Happy Holidays... .. width="425" height="350" ..
