About Me

I walk in LA.
I enjoy DOing.
Help sponsor me and aid the people in Rukingiri,Uganda. (See blog for details)<>
“When the light turns green, you go. When the light turns red, you stop. But what do you do when the light turns blue with orange and lavender spots?”
Waiting
All us human animals ever do is wait
For dinner to be warmed
For the red light to turn green
For one cloudy day
For love
For the phone to ring(or not to)
For the check in the mail
For the tide to pull back
For the tank to fill
For the landfills to empty
[which they never will]...but one can hope
For the seeds to sprout...
I wait for things like...
red balloons in the horizon
Coyotes on the hiking trail
Raccoons crossing the city streets..
I wait for things like
digging deeper than this
An unprovoked thought
A response
A visible root through concrete
A feather falling onto my car window
A monarch landing on my palm...
simple things
things like that
wait for me too

I took this photo in San Diego. If you steal it, please give me photo credit, thanks One time I was dancing with these two girls and a handsome man asked me if I would like to dance with him instead. I said no because I was happiest with them. At that moment I realized life will probably always be that way. When we were 13 we went on our first dates together. We listened to "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies to calm our nerves. One time we saw a group of people on a bus next to my car at 4:30 am.I asked him "Where do you think they are going at such an hour?" He replied "Gardena...that sounds about right" Sometimes our nights end up like this.
One time I met a man and he began to love me for all of who I am. Then we laughed at a random thing.
There is a guy who rides around my neighborhood on a bike like this. I want to talk to him one day.

We like to speak as if we are from far away lands. And we like to laugh. Alot. This is me when I was 4. I havent changed much. Yes, I have a live journal, and yes you may have the link to it if you wish. However, I'm not posting it on this site.

My Interests

Do not let my age fool you into thinking I am 25.I'm interested in:
A vegan who wouldn't mind working in a butcher shop. People who question things are also fun.

Blackbird

Oil-slicked feathers, a blackbird sits in the rain
Shiny beads, sliding down
Shiny droplets,sliding down
Still,the blackbird waits
For the water to penetrate
Oh,hopeful blackbird! For you will never feel the rain on your skin!
Oh,hopeless sky. For you will never know the depth of the blackbirds oil-slicked wings.
(Hint:I am the blackbird, who once knew the rain)

Happy Moon
An Aquarian exposition! I like to look like I'm serious sometimes I <3 by day I <3 by night

Ugly/Beautiful downtown viewed from the train by the LA "river".

I live here

I'd like to meet:

Progressive, positive revolutionaries.

Music:

I don't listen to the radio anymore, its too depressing. I love a wide assortment of music.
RIGHT NOW: Hip Hop...as always... Strictly records on my record player spinning Bob Dylan, Sly, Janis Joplin,The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles and The Beatles... A few samples as to what I dig: Jazz: Charlie Haden soothes my soul and Coltrane..nothing like an old raspy ballad from Coltrane on vinyl..Carmen Mcrae gets down as well. Blues: Recently saw B.B. King live, moved me to tears, Seth Walker, Big Mama Thorton, Charlie Patton and Robert Johnson Soul/Funk: Sly, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding,Nina and Billie of course. Hip Hop: Illogic, Atmosphere, Immortal Technique, Tribe, The Roots, Common and Pigeon John
I will zap you with my proton pack!

Movies:

Mostly Indie flicks and:Paper Moon,The Science of Sleep, The Puffy Chair, Forty Shades of Blue, You and Me and Everyone Else,Charles Bukowski: Born Into This, LEOLO-seriously touched my soul...My Girl, because I was just like Vada when I was that age. SAY ANYTHING, FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR,Little Miss Sunshine, Movern Callar,I Heart Huckabees, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine,Rebel Without a Cause,Capote, Almost Famous,Better off Dead because its dry humor is incredible!,Crash,Pulp Fiction,Magnolia,Requiem for a Dream,High Fidelity, Sideways, THE OUTSIDERS(even though this should be in the books section),Christine,Before Sunset,The Birds,Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,HOWARD THE DUCK,Kill Bill, Rebel Without a Cause, Sixteen Candles, Carrie, Dr. Zhivago, Broken Flowers, great movie. Basically anything humorous-well written-intense-well directed, not sappy or chick flickish-quote me on that All the time I think that this photo describes over half the women in LA

Television:

I exercise and read. Doc day on Sundance is candy-coated crack to me...IFC is always nice for late night movies, The Documentry Channel feeds my mind and the Food Network feeds my belly. I prefer brain muscle over the arm kind
