Growing up in a rural Kansas town of 500, Eric Gordon began dreaming of a future in music at the age of 11. By the age of 14 he had recorded a rough, 3-track demo. It wasn’t long before people began taking interest. With little expectations, Eric sent a copy to Rachael Lampa (Word/Warner). One month later he received a call from her former manager. “That call inspired me to continue pursuing music; that blessing has driven me since that day.†Eric continued his pursuit of music over the years in a multitude of endeavors, from auditioning for American Idol at age 15 to competing in the Gospel Music Academy at 17. Eric recorded a few small projects before beginning college. He knew his passion was serving Christ through music and often spent full days writing instead of studying. With no regret, he picked up and moved to Minneapolis in July of 2006 to record his first original project. His EP
TIME was released in January 2008 and was well-received, selling over 500 copies in its first month. He is currently under management with Soniscape Music and will soon begin work on a full-length album, set to release summer 2009.
TIME captures the heart of a searching soul. Conveyed with an honest message, it tackles relevant issues from a real perspective. A majority of the songs were written as Eric began a personal relationship with Christ. It cries passion and shares where God has brought him from.
