I fight what you fear and run in when everyone else is running out.... Because that's what I do...

About Me

So is this where I get to talk about myself? If you haven't figured out by now I'm a firefighter and damn proud to be. I truly enjoy the work that I do and like to think that I helped make a difference in someone's life. There are ofter times that I find myself reflecting back to that unforgetable day we now refer to as 9/11. The hundreds of brave men and women that unselfishly gave their lives trying to save someone they didn't even know. I lost 343 brothers and sisters on that dreadful day. They were sons and daughters, mother's and dad's. Going to work just like any other day not knowing this would be their last. It's what we do everyday and yet in so many departments across this country we still don't have the necessary tools to do the job when called upon. Things haven't gotten too much better since 9/11 either. The federal government has promised so much since this tragic event and yet very little has made its way to those who need it most. The sad reality is that if a similar incident where to happen again, we would have the same tragic results. Next time you see a firefighter shake their hand, pat them on the back and tell them thank you. I better stop before I get on a roll. Maybe I should just create a blog on this subject. What do you think? My personal info is that I'm 100% All-American Non-smoking Male: I have a muscular build at 6'2" and weight 220 pounds with dark brown hair and eyes. I obviously enjoy working out and do so regularly. Other than that I'm the outdoorsy type totally. Enjoy pretty much anything as long as its outdoors. I like running, biking, blading, friends and family, working around the house, movies and popcorn, Michigan football, boating, travel, warm sunny beaches, candle light dinner for two. Oh did I say hottubs and a warm fireplace on a cold winters night snuggled up with that special someone while taking in a good movie or TV program. Wow. I almost forgot MICHIGAN FOOTBALL. Theres nothing like sitting in the middle of 110,000 people cheering for the maze and blue wolverines. But most of all I really enjoy camping. Sometimes, after a hectic work week or two, maybe three.... I'll just go by myself to relax and unwind. Other times its with family or friends. Its even more fun when you get a group to go. I have met so many great people camping and have made some great friends that I look forward to seeing from one year to the next. Come to think of it, isn't it time to go camping?

I'd like to meet:

Hmm, where to begin? Well, I prefer masculine, non-smoking, athletic fit types 26-36 with a great personality. Should love firefighters of course, (hehe) the outdoors, and camping.. No I'm not talking about sleeping on the ground. I did that as a kid and I'm must too spoiled for that. Should know how to go biking, blading and that sort of stuff and at least have an understanding of sports basics (ie; round ball = basketball, oval ball = football and little black puck = hockey, etc) with similar interest as myself. Should be fairly handy with a hammer and a saw too cause I may need some help building a new wall or installing a deck or something. Hope that I'm not asking for too much here.If you fit this description feel free to ring the bell or call 911.... Remember that I make house calls!..
