About Me

Aloha! I'm James. I'm about 6 foot tall, own four pairs of shoes in various colours and I am sometimes a bit irritating. I'm a comedy writer, film maker and performer. I've written for Comedy Shuffle, Spacehopper (winner "Best Comedy" at the RTS awards), Parsons and Naylor's Pull Out Sections and some really excellent Christmas thank you letters. I have a sketch show "in development", which means... actually, don't really know what that means but boy it sure sounds like it should mean something doesn't it?
I make short comedies and cartoons for Shameless Films. Our films have been shown on the BBC, ITV, MTV2, HypTV, Propeller TV and at film festivals world-wide. You can see lots of them here: Shameless Films .
I've recently started going out and about doing stand up and sketches, and showing films.
I won The Frog and Bucket's Beat the Frog on 21/05/07. I were chuffed.
"James Harris made his LLC debut, and only his second gig ever. But it was a brilliant 5 minutes of great material, and left us wanting more." - Long Live Comedy
This random sketch show is performed by two very funny and quite charming men. Their sketches are quite unique; the pair perform well together, and they work hard to push the boundaries just beyond good taste. - Three Weeks Daily, Edinburgh
Please come and say hello:
Jan 11th: Lo-Budget Mayhem, London Short Film Fest , ICA, 8.45pm, screening Moon Shot UK
Jan 21st: Red Raw, The Stand, Edinburgh

heroes

When I was a kid, I worshipped Bjorn Borg. I really wanted to be a tennis player and I would practice my moves in front of my bedroom mirror. We were quite poor, though, and I couldn't affor...

elementary penguins

John Lennon said "life is what happens while you're busy making other plans". He also said "I am the Walrus, goo goo g'joob" which was a) nonsense and b) a big, fat fib. The Walrus was Paul. But the f...

more gigz

Done two gigs this week, and I did 10 minutes at both, which feels like a significant step. It's good to know I can sustain interest and larfs for that long, although my final gag left both ...

kamaha`o!

Ă‚iwaiwa! I got funding for my Hawaiian Christmas film. That should keep me busy for a bit, especially as it needs to look really nice, which is quite the challenge for my "ah, it'll do!" sen...

Im gay

Yeah, I'm not really. Honestly... But I do start my set with "Hi I'm James. I'm gay..." which has got me some odd responses. I've had cheers on more than one occasion, which is nice, I suppose. Maybe ...

I've been lobbing films up on the internets for around three years now, and I know people have been watching them, because I spy on them through my long, brass internet tube that supane...

back on the horse

After all the excitement of Edinburgh, and doing sketches, it's time to concentrate on stand up again. This is because I have two gigs next week and I don't have anything new to say at them yet. ...
