..

..I'm 33 years old, 5'9", 160 lbs, athletic/muscular build. I'm half American/half Brazilian. I love all types of sports, all types of music, t.v., film & the outdoors. I love to travel, go out, hang out and meet new people. I used to work as a professional in the insurance industry. Now I'm self-employed. I'm originally from Miami Beach but live in Safety Harbor with my wife, Tina and step-son. I spent a good part of the 90's in Gainesville where I finally graduated the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications. I used to live a fast-paced lifestyle but as I've gotten older I've slowed things down and come to appreciate the little things in life.

My Interests

Sports (I play basketball, football & softball regularly). Working Out/Excercise. Disc Golf. TV. Movies. Music. Snowboarding. The outdoors. The beach. Throwing darts at Cricketers. Zen. Meeting new people. Traveling. Miami Dolphins. Miami Heat. Florida Marlins. Gator Football & Basketball. Classic Muscle Cars, Ferrari's & Lambo's. I also like acting, art & theatre. And I can't forget Fantasy Football, one of the greatest things ever.

I'd like to meet:

I wouldn't mind hearing from old friends. I have already connected with many people from Beach High and from Gainesville/University of Florida who found me on here.

"A mind is not to be changed by place or time. The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven." (John Milton, Paradise Lost. Book I. Line 253)

Music:

Right now I really enjoy a local band to the Tampa/Clearwater area called Offshore Riot (with Tyson Marshall). Their first CD just came out. Some of my all time favorites are Manu Chao, Nação Zumbi, Biggie Smalls, G-Love, Pink Floyd, Beastie Boys, The Strokes, Gorillaz, Chamillionaire, Sublime, Massive Attack, Less Than Jake and DJ Icey to name a few. I like Hip-Hop, Rock, Reggae, Punk, Ska, Breakbeat, House, Trance, Drum n Bass, Trip Hop, 80's music, Reggaeton, Salsa, Oldies, New Age but not necessarily in that order. Pretty much anything, except country. Actually, I'm lying, I do like some country, especially Johnny Cash (if you can consider him country).

Movies:

I like movies. Me and Tina rent a lot of movies.

Television:

Lost (the best). Dexter. My Name is Earl. The Office. Medium. Scrubs. Law & Order (all of them). Bones. The Moment of Truth. 30 Rock. Almost all sports. ESPN shows like Around the Horn, Outside the Lines, NFL Live and P.T.I. Most HBO shows like Sopranos, Big Love, In Treatment, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Deadwood, Lucky Louie, Entourage, Real Time with Bill Maher, Real Sports, Inside the NFL, Costas Now, Da Ali G Show, John from Cincinnati and Flight of the Conchords to name more than a few. The NFL Network is awesome, inlcuding NFL Total Access. I can't miss it...I love football too much! I like Comedy Central stuff like the Daily Show, Chapelle Show, Colbert Report and Reno 911. Mythbusters on Discovery. World Music on Link. I can't forget some good old skool shows like Seinfeld, Simpsons, Friends & South Park. I was a TV Production major in college so you know I love TV and my Tivo. Tivo is the greatest invention ever. Well, actually, tied for the greastest invention is NFL Sunday Ticket on Directv. It's a must have for any real football fan.

Books:

I prefer New Age, Zen/Meditation and Self-Help Books. But I don't really read many books. I prefer to read magazines, newspapers and stuff on the internet.

Heroes:

My Mom, My Wife, Barrack Obama, Moses, Jesus, Bob Marley, Martin Luther King, Beastie Boys, Don Shula, The '72 Dolphins, Biggie Smalls, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorcese, Dan Marino, Timothy Leary, Ricky Williams, Pat Riley, Dwayne Wade, Shaquille O'Neil, Reggie Jackson, George Steinbrenner, Dontrelle Willis, Walter Payton, Timothy Leary, Gator Football Team, Gator Basketball Team and the really groovy smurf featured below.

Cubicle: The Departmentalization of America

These days, America has become like many of our corporate work places.  We are fragmented into specialized groups that don't necessarily interact or share ideas.
