About Me

I'm kind of bland really. The thing I am most proud of is the fact that I am successfully pulling off being a single father to the two hippest children in the world. I own The Real Estate Books of Amarillo and Lubbock, TX. I also play double bass in and around the Amarillo area but I consider The Amarillo Symphony to be my musical residence. I've studied with Inez Wyrick, Dwight Shambley, and David Murray. There have been others at master classes and camps but I don't really consider that as having studied with a person. If you'd like to consider the countless hours I've put in with Donovan Stokes over the past thirteen years debating the double bass, its set up, the way we approach our playing style, etc. then I suppose you could add Donovan to the list of people I have studied with.

My Interests

Gaming. I love console gaming. My current addiction is the Xbox 360 and the games of choice for right now are Splinter Cell: Double Agent and (for 100+ hours now) The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Can't wait to sink my teeth into Gears of War.BBQ!!!!!!! I love to barbecue. Brisket being my cut of choice.

My parents for all the obvious reasons and for the fact that I couldn't function without them. Inez Wyrick for all she has taught and continues to teach me and for all the time she has put into my development for what I hope is a decent human being. Donovan Stokes, I've never seen anybody as focused or dedicated as him. Maynard, 19 and still kicking. And of course my children who have sustainted me through everything and gave purpose to my life that extends well beyond my life.
