i love oldies (sara vaughn, shirley horn, otis redding, james brown, miles davis), goodies (prince, stevie nick/fleetwood mac, eazy e, beastie boys), and everything in between except heavy heavy metal. love TWILIGHT SLEEP, PROTECTION, dj seven, sol, dj xim, peter blick, etc.etc. you know who you are. music feeds my moods, and as they are so plentiful, so is my music preference. play it good and play it loud and play it where i can dance to it.
i'm a documentary lover... spellbound, winged migration, mad hot ballroom, year of the yao, baraka (well, close enough). i should build a mini shrine for amelie. top gun will always be #1 (there are no points for second best). last of the mohicans. most movies with robert duval or andy garcia or harrison ford. girl with a pearl earing. any movie with angelina jolie (even her name is hot). run lola run and the station agent.
so, i used to only watch t.v. when home on holiday and they have 24hrs of the christmas story. now i live alone. and i have cable. and can i just say i love tv drama like the deadliest catch, chefs trying to be soap-stars, and mindless boobie shots on the girls next door. the history and discovery channels are near and dear to my heart, but let's give it up for tearful reunions/break-ups.

KITE RUNNER, wuthering heights, e, a circle of friends, rolling thunder hear my cry, the power of one, let the circle be unbroken, the runaway bunny, self help books, books by first-generation americans (sandra cisneros,especially), the girl in hyacinth blue, memoirs of a geisha, books in spanish (well, poems or short stories are best for me!!), believe it or not those comic books with archie and friends
