Faustina Sofia Abad-Sokolov (also known as Tina Sokolov) was born in Tashkent, USSR, back in 1990.
Her origins are Latin American and Russian.
In 1993 she immigrated to Israel and begun her professional musical career at the age of 8.
She performed with her mom all over the country and gained a lot of applause from different types of audiences.
At the age of 11 she won the 1st prize of the Israeli children TV competition "To be a star", she used the award to pay her music and dance studies.
At the age of 12, with the song "I Will Survive", she won the 1st prize of the all known TV competition "BRAVO-2002".
After hitting the pop scene with winning in two competitions and touring all over Israel with concerts for Children, Faustina decided to focus on her Jazz studies and career.She studied with the best teachers of the Israeli Jazz scene today(Erez Bar-Noy,Amos Hoffman)and sang with the top Israeli musicians-the pianist and composer Ruslan Sirota (Stanley Clark's Sideman),the saxophonist Robert Anchipolovsky and many more.
After having different experiences in performing at jazz clubs and local jazz festivals, Faustina sent her Demo recordings to the Italian Jazz producer- Paolo piangerelli, who was highly impressed by Faustina's voice and invited her to participate in the International Massimo Urbani Competition-for jazz soloist in Italy.
There she won the 1st place and also the prize of public sympathies.
One of the awards of the Massimo Urbani competition was the scholarship for studying at the Berklee College of Music Clinics in Perugia,Italy.
Faustina participated in that program,and was chosen to represent Berklee in the Umbria
Winter Jazz festival 06,with an award band,that Berklee chose in the same program.
While she was staying in Italy she recorded an album (Philology record company) with the Legendary Italian Jazz pianist Renato Sellani.
In 2006 she won 2 full tuitions for the Berklee College of Music-5 week program studies in Boston.
After participating in one program she went back to Israel and was busy in touring with the Israeli Conservatory Jazz Big-band with the conducting and artistic directing of Danny Rosenfeld.
In 2007 she was invited by the all known conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov to participate in the International festival-
"Moscow Meets Friends" in Moscow, Russia.
She spent her Senior year on studies and on being the band leader,arranger,vocalist and producer of her own project ,Tina Sokolov & Her Trio, with whom she successfully toured.
In 2008 Faustina used her second full-tuition for the studies at the Berklee College of Music-5 week program in Boston.
Now, she's planning to attend Berklee College of Music, after visiting her family in Ecuador.
