Greg Minier is a solo modern rock artist from the Central California town of Fresno. “I have passed onethousand
roads. My wheels still turning as I carry my own load. I have told one-thousand tales. Experience is a
lesson that will never fail†sings Greg on the song “One Thousandâ€. Experience is definitely something Greg
has an abundance of.Most fans will remember Greg from his early days with the groundbreaking thrash metal band The Crucified.
During his time with The Crucified, Greg found time to record two solo projects under the name Applehead and
Minier. After the demise of The Crucified, Greg went on to form the L.A. based band Sweet Mary. The band
secured a production deal with Guns N Roses drummer Matt Sorum but unfortunately never saw their CD being
released.
After spending the last 10 years playing in Fresno with one of the most popular cover bands in the area and
working as a special education English teacher, Greg has returned to writing his own music. He recently came
out of the studio with 5 new songs. In addition to the aforementioned “One Thousandâ€, the other songs include,
“They Said Noâ€, “All of Meâ€, “Kimberly†(a love song to his wife) and “Fallâ€. As he did on his former solo
projects, Greg performed most of the instruments including guitar, bass, and vocals. Drums were handled
by the talented Jim Chaffin (The Crucified, The Blamed, Fasedown, Once Dead) and keyboards by Chuck "The Colonel" Pratt.
A departure from his former
solo projects, his new music is more melodic and in the pop rock vein.
Plans are under way for shopping these songs to labels and music supervisors.
