I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Rant of the Moment:
I'm not interested in being hit on on MySpace. If you think you're clever, you're not. Save yourself the time. If I went to either Boardman, Pacifica or Temescal Canyon High Schools or Chapman University with you, by all means message me.

I work from home as a Community Manager for a virtual film studio in the virtual world of Second Life. I promote and teach residents how to make movies. We also run a monthly machinima festival.

I make movies like this:

My Interests

Drinking, partying, chillin with friends, going to bars, bbqs on sundays, shopping, tanning, money (don't worry guys i make it all on my own), tattoos, piercings, motorcycles (but i'm too scared to ride on one), reading, movies, porn?

I'd like to meet:

A machinimist like me.

Because you need to know

From the wikipedia page on machinima :

Machinima (pronounced [m?.'?i?.n?.m?] or [m?.'??.n?.m?]), a portmanteau of machine cinema or machine animation, is both a collection of associated production techniques and a film genre (film created by such production techniques). As a production technique, the term concerns the rendering of computer-generated imagery (CGI) using real-time, interactive (game) 3D engines, as opposed to high-end and complex 3D animation software used by professionals. Engines from first person shooter and role-playing simulation video games are typically used. Consequently, the rendering can be done in real-time using PCs (either using the computer of the creator or the viewer), rather than with complex 3D engines using huge render farms. As a film genre, the term refers to movies created by the techniques described above.

Usually, machinimas are produced using the tools (demo recording, camera angle, level editor, script editor, etc.) and resources (backgrounds, levels, characters, skins, etc.) available in a game. Sometimes television commercials may be made with machinima. Although the topics are often based on male-oriented shooter scenarios, others have been made with romantic or dramatic topics as well.

Machinima is an example of emergent gameplay, a process of putting game tools to unexpected ends, and of artistic computer game modification. The real-time nature of machinima means that established techniques from traditional film-making can be reapplied in a virtual environment. As a result, production tends to be cheaper and more rapid than in keyframed CGI animation. It can also produce more professional appearing production than is possible with traditional at-home techniques of live video tape, or stop action using live actors, hand drawn animation or toy props.

Although most often used to produce recordings that are later edited as in conventional film, machinima techniques have also occasionally been used for theatre. A New York improvisational comedy group called the ILL Clan voice and puppet their characters before a virtual camera to produce machinima displayed on a screen to a live audience.

Second Life machinima

The virtual world of Second Life is also being used to make machinima. Each year, Second Life sponsors a movie trailer contest for machinima made in Second Life. The 2006 grand prize winner is Second Life: Get One, a two-minute action/adventure trailer produced by SL residents, Silver and Goldie Goodman. While no large-scale work has been released yet, Second Life is quickly becoming accepted by the community because its built in modeling, scripting, and avatar tools allow movie makers to create scenes quickly and collaboratively. To take advantage of this, "Alt-Zoom Studios" sponsored the Ed Wood Machinima Festival, which challenged machinima makers to create a short film within 72 hours. That led to a monthly film festival named Take 5. Other groups using Second Life for machinima include Bedazzle Studios, Natural Selection Studios, and Silver and Goldie at LTS Productions.

About Me

I have my geeky moments I like to stay in as much as I like to go out I'm only 5'1 and 3/4" Sometimes I wish I had a boyfriend, but not all the time I'm a sucker for Sephora. I'm not an alcoholic, but I'm definitely a binge drinker. I wear color contacts and I accessorize them to match my outfits. I have emerald green, baby blue, sapphire blue and turquoise colors. My natural eye color is brown. I go through things in phases. I focus on whatever intently and I tire of it fast, moving onto the next thing. Vodka is my poison of choice, but "Redheaded Sluts" are my favorite drinks. I've been on the internet since I was 12 or 13. Yep, over 11 or 12 years.
