Abstractions such as scientific theory, theology, philosophy, political and social issues give me a mental stiffy. Discussing such things with handsome men gives me a physical stiffy. A major distraction that chews up my time is reading. Occasionally, I'm also distracted with DVDs, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, comics and bright, shiny things.
Of course, the safe and sound answer to a proposition such as this is that I'd like to meet more people who are like the friends that I already have. By that I mean clever, witty, intelligent people who are socially aware, creative and who make me laugh. I already have a healthy number of such people as friends. I just need more of them who actually live in L.A. I guess you'd say I'm taking applicants.
Everything AND the kitchen sink (which is probably the name of a band out there somewhere. Chances are, I'll like them, too)
Mindwalk Fight Club, and Beaches (the uncensored, NC-17 version, featuring poo-flinging monkeys!)
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, SeaLab 2021, Harvey Birdman, Brak Show, Space Ghost, Buffy, Strangers with Candy, X-Files, Millenium
Fight Club, Lullabye, Choke, Invisible Monsters, Diary, Survivor, Jitterbug Perfume, Madness and Civilization, the History of Sexuality, House of Leaves, Guns Germs and Steel, Evil in Modern Thought, Don't Go Europe (the funniest piece of writing I've ever been blessed enough to read)
My family, undoubtedly. I'm one of the few people I know whose parents are still together and, more amazingly, still obviously love each other and life in general. No one I know who has met them can ever disagree that they are the perfect parents. My friend Michael R., who has done More! with his life than fifty other people could do with all their lives combined. He is a constant source of inspiration, as well as a font of joy, wisdom and cooking that is to die for.And of course Paul, whose love makes me a better, more tolerable person to be around. Even I like me more because of him.
