Taking an artist from "nobody" to "somebody" has always been a top priority for him. With this work ethic in mind he has produced the songs that helped his Sleepless Productionz artist, R&B singer, Lafonda garner a number of achievements on the 'unsigned" scene. These achievements include a "2006 Best R&B Female NYC Underground Music Award, another nomination in 2007, as well as a 2008 award for "Best R&B Solo female" in the "Unsigned and Indie Music Awards, NYC. He also produced songs that helped another up and coming R&B singer, Gina Rose win the "2006 as well as the 2007 Best R&B Female" at the Maryland/DC Underground Music Awards." PLABOY-CHI works with various songwriters, musicians, and reference singers sprinkled throughout the Midwest and East Coast all housed under his Sleepless Productionz LLC, which helps him to continue to provide full quality R&B, Hip-Hop and Pop songs to recording labels, publishing entities, etc. Inspired by a variety of music legends ranging from Quincy Jones to Prince, from Timbaland to the Rza, producing continues to be his passion. While in Chicago he attended Columbia College and studied Audio Production and Editing as well as classes in various aspects of the Music Business.
