Yes this is the Joseph Mengele"Angel of Death",and I am aware of the cruel experiments at Auschwitz-Birkenau,but being epileptic I have been helped by some of the things he has done.His work has made it possible for a lot of modern day treatments for many Neurological disorders which have stemmed from his experiments.Not only did he discover many of the current techniques used today for curing,and helping control seizures caused by Epilepsy.Some of the techniques include the temporal lobectomy,deep brain stimulation,and many medications.One in which I have went through once,and will be going through again next month.He also made a lot of progress with Parkinson's disease,conjoined twins,and many other neurological illness's.None of which the U.S. found during their eugenics's program from the early 1900's to about 1945.During which 1,000's of were forcibly experimented on which would of lead to being sterilized,or euthanization.The victims included the mentally ill,homosexuals,crippled,and those considered and "not fit to propagate".It lead to the mistreatment of many men,women,and children,which did not have much success.He did many studies for pediatric Dept. of the association in the early 70's while in hiding in Bertioga, Brazil under various names,one of which was Wolfgang Gerhard.That is why he appears in my hero's section.I am not some crazy Nazi,racist,or anything.I just like research about the treatments of my disorder.Many of which are very disturbing,and barbaric.*you can find a lot of articles online about this subject if you dig hard enough.I was pointed in the right direction by my old neurologist.*
