About Me

..A goofy soul working for truth, joy, equality, simplicity, growth, creativity, laughs, and understanding. Turning always to animals and nature for comfort and insight.
Hey, new photos for youuuu!

Want to help out an incredibly good cause, right now? You know you do!
You can help raise funds for Watoto Wa Kwetu Trust in Nairobi, Kenya. Watoto Wa Kwetu means "Children of the Neighborhood" in Swahili. The trust offers free creative art workshops to children in the Mathare Valley, the second largest slum of Nairobi. 100% of the proceeds from these bands (each band is $3 or more if you want to be extra-generous- choose your size) goes towards the purchase of needed operational equipment and art materials for the center. To find out more and purchase your own band, please visit their myspace page by clicking on the photo below!
I Wish I Knew How it Would Feel to be Free
(As sung by Nina Simone)
I wish I knew how it would feel to be free
I wish I could break all the chains holding me
I wish I could say all the things that I should say
Say 'em loud, say 'em clear
for the whole round world to hear.
I wish I could share all the love that's in my heart
Remove all the bars that keep us apart
I wish you could know what it means to be me
Then you'd see and agree
that every man should be free.
I wish I could give all I'm longing to give
I wish I could live like I'm longing to live
I wish that I could do all the things that I can do
though I'm way overdue I'd be starting anew.
Well I wish I could be like a bird in the sky
how sweet it would be if I found I could fly
Oh I'd soar to the sun and look down at the sea
and I'd sing 'cause I'd know that
and I'd sing 'cause I'd know that
and I'd sing 'cause I'd know that
I'd know how it feels to be free
I'd know how it feels to be free
I'd know how it feels to be free
Nina Simone, now free in the universe somewhere... ..

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with something to say, creativity to unload, concern about the world, love & compassion, and/or anything that will unravel my mind. Heartfelt people with a sense of humor!! Bad ass mamas that don't take any shit, but still know how to be compassionate. Anyone with advice or struggles on how to bring yourself out of a protective shell and allow your inner freedom to blossom. Fellow buddhists, vegans, vegetarians, native people (though
I guess we're all really native to this planet), vagabonds, musicians, old friends, new friends, pitbull lovers, crafters, revolutionaries, philosophers, compassionate activists, dreamers, writers, comedians, and people who aren't afraid to laugh and be themselves!!
