About Me

Well my full name is Daniel Aiken Smithson, and I have lived in small towns and large cities. I enjoy travel but haven’t been able to do nearly as much as I would like. Though I have had the chance to view both the west and east coast up close. After having gone to most of the major cities on the coast lines of America I chose to move to Seattle where I attended the Art Institute of Seattle for a time. I learned there that my art was not meant for the riggers of professional advertising. I am very tactile and my hands have been well trained in massage as well as all forms of art, I paint, draw, and write, though I have done pottery, sculpt, sung on stage, and played in almost every medium of art. I don’t get to paint or write as much as I would like but part of that is due to a lack in muse. At some point in my future I hope to be able to take my story telling ability, and my art to a new level and work in movies or some medium that allows me to produce things that will inspire new generations to create. I have been involved with a company called Druman Productions for a long time working to create a fantastical world to allow just that. Also I learned in that time how to work with others creating a system of mechanics that would allow others to experience that world though Role Playing Games. I hope someday that world will be shared with all. And that it will lend itself to the imaginations of others.
Right now I am looking for a job opportunity that will not only satisfy my monetary needs but force me to expand on my previous experiences, and give me an outlet for my creativity and my personal skills. I feel like I would be perfect in a position of leadership and public relations. I have developed my ability to organize and conduct large and small groups of people over the years. I have held managing positions and customer service type positions both in person and via telephone. I am confident in my abilities to explain myself, my desires, and my vision to others.
Sometimes I feel like life has asked a lot of me emotionally and that my luck with such things has been limited. Yet I have never let that completely take away my hope that in the future I will once again be blessed with the things we all want, Love, happiness, and friendship.
One of my dreams would be to create a place that artists could come and ply their skills without the need to produce for a governing group of people who would only wish to turn that art into a marketable product. Once artists were considered a profession of renown and though may hap they were not paid as well as other professions, their skills were sought after and respected. There are many artists in the world most are only able to use their skills to some degree of marketing, or are stuck only able to use such skills in the time away from the daily needs of our consumer market. Some lucky enough eventually make a name for themselves and are able to exhibit their work. But so few can make a living at it. I long for a place that would allow for creation for creation sake.
"You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches, demons, sticks turning into snakes, food falling from the sky, people walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive stories, and you say that we are the ones that need help?" -- Dan Barker, Losing Faith in Faith

My Interests

Well like I said I am an artist. So Writing, Painting, Drawings; I am interested in Philosophy, Psychology, and Theology, and have a passion for supper hero like ideals and efforts. I am a big fan of several parts of history. I enjoy a good fantasy book. I will play a video game once in a wile but it needs to have a good story. I love movies and hate commercials. I am interested in attending school again there is a lot I want to know. I am a fair cook. I am always up to go to a nice vista and watch sunset. I grew up on the coast and in the Redwoods so nature is a big part of my life. I feel disconnected if I stay in the city too long, sometimes I just need to escape.

I'd like to meet:

There are a few people I would like to meet. In no particular order they are as follows.
I want to know someone in the movie business who may be able to help me share my imagination with the world.
I want to know and befriend someone so rich they would not hesitate to help me in funding projects like Druman Productions.
I would like to meet the writers of my favorite books.
I would like to find the partner of my dreams. She would have to want to be a muse. She would need a sexuality about her. I want someone I can desire all the time. She would be intelligent enough to have intellectual conversations, be dumb enough to laugh at herself, and have an imagination, but help keep me grounded. Want more from/for me but love me regardless. Have a sense of style but don't condemn me for my t-shirt and jeans. Being creative that's a big plus. I am not too picky physically, but I have a few preferences, they are not musts because I know physical form is secondary to the spirit inside, but here ya go... I like light colored eyes, greens, and blues, anything you can see into and get lost. I like long hair, I have a weakness for redheads, auburn beauties, and sandy browns. I would rather have a woman with natural brown hair than a fake blond. If you have fingernails that don't allow you to do anything don't bother. She must have an amazing smile. I like petite women because they look 20 until they are 40. There is something about a baby faced angel that just is irresistible.
I would like to know philosophers with dreams of re-writing the truth so that all can learn to realize we are all human despite our beliefs or other learned knowledge.
