Finding peace & cleaning out my emotional litterbox

About Me

Hello!
I'm a fiery redhead from Texas, living on the outskirts of Nashville in a Civil War town. I "retired" from social work a year ago after working in every conceivable capacity (i.e., juvenile court, foster care/children's services, alcohol & drug rehab, and elderly services.) Most people burn out after three years, I lasted almost seven. Now I put my energies into animal rescue causes. I guess it never really gets out of your blood. =)
As you can see, I have a passion for Persian cats. What started out as one pet, ended up being a mission. To date, I have found homes for six kitties this year that were on death row. Of course, two rescues ended up staying...if they ever start taking up residence in my lap, that's it, I'm a goner. My friends say that if you have been really, REALLY good in this lifetime, you get to come back as one of my cats.
Anyone interested in Civil War tours, especially of the paranormal nature, drop me a line! I've got some great stories about Haunted Franklin! If you have pictures to share, that's even better.
I currently buy and sell houses (foreclosures, preforeclosures, REOs) and help people with less than stellar credit scores own their own homes while they repair their credit in order to retain financing. Unlike so many scam artists out there, I work hard to really assist people with their dreams. I am a firm believer in Karma, and good deeds ALWAYS come back to you somewhere down the line.
At the end of the day, life is a zero-sum game. We leave this world with what we come into with. Zilch. All that really matters is what small part you did to assist your fellow man on their quest for spiritual and human growth in this lifetime.
My Best To Everyone,
Tonda

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interested in discussing alternative healing, paranormal studies or investment real estate. Also, if you have an adopted child or children from Russia or anywhere else overseas or have any questions you think I might be able to answer, please feel free to ask.

Music:

There is nothing like Celtic music (especially Steve McDonald's Sons of Somerled and Highland Farewell), a bubble bath and burning candles in a dark bathroom to make all things right with the Universe. All-time favorites are 70's and 80's rock...AD/DC, Aerosmith, Mellencamp, Hagar, Stones.

Movies:

Tombstone, Forrest Gump, The Notebook, Steel Magnolias...just to name a few.

Television:

Law and Order: SVU and Criminal Intent; I Survived; Ghostly Encounters and A Haunting; and most anything on the History or Biography Channel. I endure some of the reality shows in order to bond with my daughter for our weekly "trash-the-cast" sessions =)

Books:

I love to read anything related to the Holistic/Healing arts, True Crime stories, Civil War books, real estate investing books.

Heroes:

My 15 year old daughter Tatiana...who came to America from a Russian orphanage at age 5 and had no family, no social skills and who couldn't speak English. To see who she has become today, makes me very proud to have been chosen to be her mother.
Renee Reyes--what you have been through and the sacrifices that I've watched you make to be "who you are" just boggles my mind. You have taught me too many life lessons regarding the human spirit and what it means to truly take a stand for a cause and to selflessly help others along the way.
Mamacita Clark...your battle with Cancer, and your will to not let it overcome your life. You are a beacon of Hope for anyone who has lost their faith. Miraculous healing is real, and you are proof.
