About Me

MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator Too old to be a "Youth Pastor" and really too old to be cool. But, I have a vision to see a place in Cottage Grove where really cool people can come together and enjoy Christian performances. And, where Christian performers can come to get their message out.I think it would be really cool, if there was a place where young people could bring their friends. You know, the friends that won't go to church with you. It would be really cool, if you don't want to go church, but could be comfortable coming to hang out with us. Just to listen to some good music, and meet some really cool people, in a safe, encouraging environment. That would be really cool.Well, if I could have done this in a barn or warehouse, I would have. I asked God for a barn or warehouse. But, he gave me this old church. So, if you get a chance, come hang out with us. One thing I can guarantee, you will be welcome.

My Interests

My interest are very mobile. Right now, I'm really trying to focus on this HeirBorn thing. Making new friends and reaching out to people who want to reach out to others. And, have some fun while God does it, right before our eyes.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who loves the Lord and anyone who's curious about what that means!

Music:

All genres, including some most folks in my generation can't stand. I don't like violance and I don't like pain. But, some of the most moving lyrics comes from those who have experienced pain and violence. And, I appreciate that. I just think everyone needs to know the one who said, " In the world you shall have tribulation, but do not be affraid, I have overcome the world." So, if the music points toward Jesus, I'm OK with it!There's some other stuff I like too... Jazz, Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, Trashy country doesn't do me any good, but Blue Grass and Folk, Old Time Gospel and good country music can get me going. Well, ya know, I'm right back to that "All genres" thing. But, live music is the best.

Jesus is a hero to me in one sense, He did rescue me from the life I was living. Which probably didn't look so bad from the outside, but I know it was going no where. Now that he has rescued me, He is my Lord and my God. So, I worship Him because He is God and not just because He rescued me. I'm not in this for what I can get out of it. I'm in for what He can make out of me.
