uhhhmmmm.....love anything that involves quality people and a smile. I think that hanging out with either of my sons is my favorite thing in the world. I like to listen to music and dance around my kitchen! I love good indian food and trying all of the ethnic restaurants around. I love to shop internationally for stones for my jewelry, and for great things to sell in my shop in Lyons. I love traveling to distant places with white beaches and amazing people. I love to sing and make music. Writing......poetry, journaling, short stories........I love to write. One day there will be a book.......
I'd like to meet:
If I were picking famous people to meet, then Jack Nicholson, Johnny Depp, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Angelina Jolie, Prince and Brad Pitt would be some of them. But famous people are interesting, cuz' you wonder if it is them you want to meet or characters that they have played? I think I usually meet those that I am interested in.....and famous people, well...it would be cool, but really it is irrelevant. As I would never go too far out of my way to meet any of them. I am quite content with the people that are in my life and that I meet on a daily basis.
Music:
I love all music (but very few country tunes)...really, anything that I can dance to, electronic, Hip-Hop, trance, dancehall, classic rock and funk. I also enjoy listening to Billie Holiday and Ella...and relaxing. Indian or electronica that I can belly dance to are also favorites!! What's in the player in my truck? Eminem, 50-cent or DJ Tiesto, Dido, Erykah Badu, Aretha.... (If my little son is with me, then.....we play Bob Marley, his daddy~King Jazzy, The Beatles, or electronic cuz' the lyrics are acceptable) Check this link out to hear my baby daddy rockin' it!! Movies:
comedy, romance, action....not really into scary though. And not really into terribly violent movies either. Some favorites: Blow, Goldmember, Star Wars, Say Anything(yes, you know the one) The Princess Bride, Harold and Maude, Wedding Crashers, and the Secret of Nimh.
Television:
Do not watch much TV.... I do enjoy watching basketball. I am a Pistons fan. I also enjoy HGTV and the travel channel. Lately I have been enjoying the National Geographic channel and the History channel as well. I also like to watch Brothers and Sisters on Sunday evenings and Desperate Housewives!
Books:
Karma Kola, The 12th Planet, The God of Small Things, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Celestine Prophecy, Memoirs of a Geisha, Tibetan Book on Living and Dying, The Red Tent...all women should read this one! Also, Keys to the Kingdom....all women should also read this one! The Four Agreements~I swear this one will change your life!
Heroes:
I think that every person you meet has something to teach you....so, I guess that everyone is a hero to at least someone.....to me, there are many amazing people that have graced me with their wisdom, kindness and lessons. I think a true hero is someone who has inspired a positive change in another person. There are heroes everywhere ...everyday! People are amazing!
