About Me

Chris Weldon is an artist/musican in Oklahoma City, Ok.

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. I've been playing music for about 10 years. I started playing drums, then moved on to guitar & bass. My background in percussion tends to lead me towards odd metered music. I feel more comfortable in chaos( I tend to make more sence of it in life & music). I hope to be recording some of my music soon. I am putting together a studio in my home. All I need is protools or a simular program & an ADA, maybe a midi interface. Then off I go.

As for my art... I paint with an airbrush mostly. I also draw a great deal. My subject is mostly the human figure. I also do abstracts, & some surrealism. All of my work is for sale, unless otherwise noted. I will soon have prints available for a reasonable price. Around $20-30. All originals will come nicely framed unless other arrangements have been made. If you are interested in any paintings or drawings please message me or send me an e-mail. chrisweldonart

There are some pics, specs, & prices of my art in the heros section a little further down the page.

I'd like to meet:

People with similar interests. Anyone who can get along with me, & gets me. Someone who can love me for my flaws & doesn't want to fix them. I'm a little eccentric, but I like to think delightfully so.

Any art collectors that would like some of my art for collection.

And H.R. Giger. He is the reason I started painting. I plan on working at "Museum H.R. Giger" before I'm 35.

Movies:

I got off the plane around midnight and no one spoke as I crossed the dark runway to the terminal. The air was thick and hot, like wandering into a steam bath. Inside, people hugged each other and shook hands ...big grins and a whoop here and there: "By God! You old bastard! Good to see you, boy! Damn good...and I mean it!" In the air-conditioned lounge I met a man from Houston who said his name was something or other - "but just call me Jimbo" - and he was here to get it on. "I'm ready for anything, by God! Anything at all. Yeah, what are you drinking?" I ordered a Margarita with ice, but he wouldn't hear of it; "Naw, naw...what the hell kind of drink is that for Kentucky Derby time? What's wrong with you, boy?" He grinned and winked a the bartender. "Goddamn, we gotta educate this boy. Get him some good whiskey..."

Television:

7. The Anesthetic State is produced by narcotics, barbiturates, and large doses of alcohol. Anyone can reach the void by self-administeration of stupefacients. Most Americans know just how to pass out.

6. The State of Emotional Stuper is produced by moderate doses of alcohol. Three martinis do nicely.

5. The State of Ego Consciousness is enhanced by pep pills, energizers consumed daily by millions of Americans. Pep pills make you feel good. Make you feel active. They change nothing, but propel you into game motion. Coffie, tea, and Coca-Cola are mild versions.

4. The State of Sensory Awareness is produces by any psychedelic drug - LSD, mescaline, psilocybin, MDA, yaje, hashish, Sernyl, DMT - but the specific, direct trigger for turning on the sense is marijuana.

3. The State of Somatic Awareness is attained by any psychedelic drug stronger that marijuana but the specific triggers for cakra consciousness are hashish and MDA.

2. The Cellular Level of Consciousness is attained by any of the stronger psychedelics - peyote, LSD, mescaline, psilocybin.

1. The Atomic-Electronic Level of Conscioucness is produced by the most powerful psychedelics - LSD, STP, DMT. -

Books:

To love men for the sake of God - that has been the noblest and most remote feeling attained to among men up till now. That love of man without some sanctifying ulterior objective is one piece of stupidity and animality more, that the inclination to this love of man has first to receive its measure, its refinement, its grain of salt and drop of amber from a higher inclination - whatever man it was who first felt and experienced this, however much his tongue may have faltered as it sought to express such a delicate thought, let him be holy and venerated to us for all time as the man who has soared the highest and gone the most beautifully astray!

- F. Nietzsche

Heroes:

Morphia is but one
Spark of its secular fire.
She is the single sun -
Type of all desire !
All that you would you are -
And that is the crown of a craving.
You are slaves of the wormwood star.
Analysed, reason is raving.
Feeling, examined, is pain.
What heaven were to hope for a doubt of it !
Life is anguish, insane ;
And death is - not a way out of it !
