About Me

Layout by CoolChaser Joshua Woods:
What goes on outside 'Skyline Fugitives'
This is the page where other projects get updated. whether it's under my actual name or one of the thousand alliases I use, it'll be shown here and tracks/remixes I've done for other people will see the light of day here first.
The current projects:
Skyline Fugitives:
This is my main band... shouldn't be in the list but hey...what?
used to be known as The Shifter but we changed the name because A: it's a better name B: copyright is a bitch. Oh yeh, that....and....we rock
jb screams:
This would be my solo thing. It is but at the moment there's too much going on with skyline fugitives and other projects to really do something. The idea behind this is basically home recording. Lo-fi, just songs in whatever style or format that comes to mind.
Reza Kawai & The J. Woods Band:
A girl with a golden voice and she's one of the coolest people I know.
We're aiming for funky, soul, hiphop-ish, groove music but I'm failing miserably and so it's turning into triphop/breakbeat/polka....But it sounds cool. Eventually, we'll be looking for people to play the stuff live and wear suits. Yeh you read correctly...Suits!
We're planning some demo recordings at the moment.
Siofra McComb:
Someone I've known for ages and has always held back. She has an amazing Jazzy vocal sound and writes wicked lyrics. I'm basically assisting as I feel it should be her honour up there. Aiming for Triphop mixed with jazz I guess. But the jazz thing is difficult since I'm a terrible musician and know jack shit about Jazz. But I'm trying. We want to record an old song we wrote years ago called 'Pancakes & Icecream' and a Rufus Wainwright song first. We have no idea why, but it made sense at the time.
Afra:
She's probably one of hollands best female vocalists if you ask me. She heads major musicals and has done some pretty nifty things in the past. She wanted to do something that's more appealing to her other than musicals and so I'm writing random stuff for her, hoping she likes it. It wouldn't really matter what I'd do, she'd make it sound incredible anyway.
There's a Roxy Music Tribute album coming up by Burning Sky Records. Saban Mora Aguilar, Reinier Gerritsen, Michel and me are researching Roxy Music songs at the moment in order to cover one of them in the hopes of getting on the album. I was asked by Alan from Burning Sky Records who is a cool dude and I still owe him money :E ... Since Skyline Fugitives did a Posies cover called 'Terrorized' for their previous release "Beautiful Escape: Songs of The Posies Revisited" and it rocked. You can hear that song on the Skyline Fugitives Myspace, by clicking the link somewhere on here.
back to the point, we're trying to find a song to do and make it rock...I guess.
There's more, but it's still too vague to talk about. When stuff takes shape I'll write something about it and/or you can probably hear it here in the shape of tones and song structure....yeh...ok?
By the way, I have too many myspace pages fs
