Siofra (a.k.a. Miss D.)

About Me

Miss Delicious, or Miss D. for short, started out small. Djing in basements and attics, she soon found these small cramped spaces to be, well, too small, and decided it was time for something better. She moved her record collection to the big town and quickly got herself a residency in places like Dizzy and Off Corso, and a nice way to enlarge her collection by working at Rotterdam's most respected record store Shifting Gears. Miss D. is inspired by beauty, and – because she is a woman – by the emotions music inspire in her. Though not an educator, she loves playing innovative music that lies outside the mainstream and has a deeply rooted hatred for four-to-the-floor um-tiss dance music. 'Playing a set is like good sex. You don't immediately go for the jugular; you have to work your way up to it. Speeding it up, slowing it down, and speeding it up all over again. Teasing your way to the unavoidable climax that will have the audience reeling and begging for more.' Oh, and now she's started organising parties as wel!!
