13th HOLE, a mixed French-Italian group [Rennes and Carpi], follower of a kind of American noise culture [Sonic Youth]. They create a powerful music with heterogeneous as well as extreme compositions.
After a series of concerts in France and a good press coverage, the group was invited by JOHN PEEL to record one of those famous "Peel sessions" broadcast on BBC one.
Today, 13th HOLE have lightened the sound of their compositions to leave more place to Isa's voice, that is close to PJ Harvey's or Kristin Hersch's.
13th HOLE diffuse a renewed charm, strange, uncomfortable still fascinating, they have kept the habit of flirting with melody and then to charge it with clashes of sound to make it more interesting.
Currently 13th Hole prepare a fifth album.
