Things involving me
Update: Whooo, I'm in Japan for a year working in a hotel.. doing stuff and things.
I rarely use MySpace nowadays, so soz if I take forever to answer messages, etc. I'm on Bebo & Facebook a lot more.
I was born in Canada, spent my primary-school years in New Zealand, then spent the last decade in Australia (Perth and Melbourne), and moved back to Auckland (NZ) in 2007.
I spent 3 months studying Mandarin in Taiwan in 2006, and am now in Japan for the third time on working holiday.
I speak quite good Japanese, and terrible Mandarin.
I have two tattoos.
I am engaged to a lovely boy.
I like to think of myself as a proud non-conformist. Others often like to think of me as weird. I don't care what they think so that suits me just fine.
I love art, music, poetry, writing, blogging, comedy, languages, Japan, anime and my laptop. Particularly my laptop - I want to have its babies, I love it so much.
I know where to put apostrophes.
I stand by what I believe in even if it's not convenient.
I want to die having given more to the world than I've taken.
I never stay in one place long enough to call it home.
I believe in Cognitive Liberty . I don't believe that marijuana is harmful to society. I believe that McDonalds is harmful to society.
I like knowing what's going on in the world, but I think the media is biased as hell.
I blog compulsively.
I have far more friends on my MySpace list than I have in real life.
I'm terrified of bees and wasps.
I can be bright and bubbly or introspective and deep, yin or yang. I like to think of myself as a bi-polar walking contradiction.

I'm a pretty regular Wikipedia contributor (my user page is here ).
I have two pet rats. I'm an animal lover and my favourite animals are rats, bunny rabbits, cats and sheep. I would be a vegetarian if I had the willpower (I would also be skinny if I had the willpower), but I don't, so poor little baby moo cows must die for my dinner. I don't eat ever sheepies tho, coz they're too cute.

    Fight Against the Death Penalty
I have placed this candle image on my profile in memorial of Van Tuong Nguyen (August 17, 1980 - December 2, 2005). Van was an Australian citizen executed by hanging in Singapore , one of over 400 people who have been executed in Singapore since 1991 - the world's highest per capita rate. It is my belief that the death penalty is nothing short of democide and is never an acceptable solution. For more information about Amnesty International's campaigns against the death penalty, please go to www.amnesty.org .
