About Me

Welcome to The Spitts MySpace pages!

We are glad that you are here and here's the story:
Since 1999 - Eight...*agh*... years of creating the music, the hype, the style - 2001 was the year when The Spitts first broke onto the Swedish rock scene.

The Hultsfred- and Arvikafestival

With their breakthrough performance at Swedens biggest music event, the Hultsfred Rock Festival, The Spitts became an instant crowd and media favorite. With critical acclaim from the local and national press, they were described as an explosive live band. and a band with great potential and a fresh sound.
This initial Hultsfred performance paved the way for featured performances at other key Swedish festivals in Arvika and Malm along with shows at a variety of other venues. Through their constant touring, the band continued to showcase and develop the unique SPITTS sound and live performance style, attracting and building both an underground club following along with larger venues and festival size audiences. The SPITTS were beginning to really make some noise.

The debut

Following a successful summer of touring, the band began work on their debut album.
The fall of 2001 continued the live performance and recording activity for the Band. After a series of successful opening act gigs for a variety of high profile international acts across Sweden, the SPITTS signed a touring agent agreement with Northern Europes largest Touring Agency.

Two number one hits on the Nordic MTV chart - I'm in love and That's my girl

In May, 2002 The SPITTS released their debut album Cut The Circulation Off on the German label People Like You / Century Media. During 2002 and 2003 the two singles from the album topped the Nordic MTV Chart along with receiving heavy rotation on other Swedish music and radio channels.

The Spittswear Collection

In 2005 the Spitts focused their creative and business energy in a new direction by launching their mens wear collection, Spittswear (along with some live performances), in Paris during the Mens Fashion Week.
