Cyrus…. Why does he call himself Cyrus? Many might ask and he would simply reply,” According to ancient historians Cyrus means like the sun. Let us not forget to mention what the modern historians say Cyrus means humiliator of the enemy in verbal contest.” This 27 year old Bronx Hip Hop Lyricist definitely lives up to the name Cyrus. Whether it is when he is on stage shining like the sun, or on the street corner humiliating the enemy in a verbal contest otherwise known as a battle. Cyrus’ current battle record is 87-2, so now you know why this lyricist is named Cyrus. Currently Cyrus is working in the studio trying to complete his story mix tape which is called, The Story. This includes “Ambulance Please” and “If I Were to Die”. The videos for both of these songs are currently in negotiation and filming should start shortly. At this moment Cyrus has just finished up being in a short film and creating soundtracks for the film called, “The Suit.” Which received awards at,” The Bronx Community College Film Festival.” At this point Cyrus is an animal caged in that needs to be let loose. Rap needs him Hip hop needs him. Cyrus was a finalist for the 2004 Unsigned Hype Mix tape Tour, The finalist in the Urban Idols Competition for Hip Hop songwriters. Semi-Finalist in the Hot97 Summer Jam Battle 2008 rated the number one underground hip hop artist in Florida by Specialist Sounds and has performed at almost every open mike in New York City. Now Cyrus is taking his career to a whole other level. When Cyrus was 17 years old DMX told him he would make it. When he was 23 Mister Cee said Cyrus you’re a beast. Now never mind the music videos and mix tape Cyrus is working on now. Think about what he has been working on since he was 17 years old. Cyrus’ goal is not only to be rich but to be a well known lyricist that creates music that is appreciated by the world.
