When someone is a natural she can't help but be it. She is passionate about music. It is in her blood, genes, cells, deeply rooted in her very core, heart and soul. Born to a Filipino-Hispanic mother who she looks up to as an excellent singer and an Irish-French father who once featured as champion rock and roll dancer, she lives and breathes music and is truely blessed and gifted from above. A fact she acknowledges and is humbly grateful for and wants to enjoy, explore and share. Her mother said she demonstrated her God-given rhythm early in life when she was rocking back and forth to the sounds of drumbeats from a television program as soon as she could sit up. Her first secular songs were by Frank Sinatra, "Get Me To The Church on Time" and Neil Sedaka's “My Diary“, songs she now professes to have never heard in all her life. Dominique is currently involved with Kainé, a high-profile gospel choir that performs in cooperation with the BBC and Radio Leicester. Kainé Gospel Choir is a voluntary gospel arts organisation dedicated to increasing opportunities for and information about he creative development within gospel arts. The repertoire is a mix of contemporary traditional, African and acapella gospel music. Kainé Gospel Choir gave her the experience to perform confidently not only in the UK but also abroad. She won first prize in a music competition and achieved marks of distinctions in many of her dancing assessments. When she sings she is able to empathise with the emotions the songwriter is feeling, therefore creating the atmosphere it was intended for. She can lose herself in a song and lead the audience to follow. Performing in front of a live audience does not bother her in the least and understands that first she has to give. And give all, she does... or nothing. That is her code of honour. She would like to make her way into the world, not just all dreamily but with analysing, solving, assessing... She is now 18 and wants to be part of the music scene. That much she knows.
